A tag has been placed on Alannah young requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 03:55, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comparison to Canadian International School[edit]

Hi, I noticed you made a comment at the deletion discussion about the Candaian International School. Were you referring to Canadian International School (Singapore). The difference is that the CIS is a high school, which are normally kept on wikipedia. I understand Rosemount is a primary school only though. So unless it has some sort of notability, it is unlikely to be kept. Having said that, the CIS article is in horrible shape, so I have cleaned that up to. But because it is a high school, it won't be nominated for deletion. I've also noticed that you have changed the link on the Rosemount article so that it is now pointing to the school's website. That is a bad idea because, as I tried to explain before, parent testimonials are not the same as third party sources. The fact that they are published on the school's own website means it is only going to say good things. Regards, AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 05:34, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Yes i was referring to that school. I understand that parent testimonial aren't the same but CIS uses it as a source and that's ok as there are....a high school? That is what i don't understand. And If I were to recreate Rosemount's page again, is it possible? The credible source that i found which was written by someone else was blocked by wikipedia. The rest of the sources are directory listings and such. Shazrinarmk2015 (talk) 05:43, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have cleaned up the CIS page also to remove the promotional puff. You can see the change I've made here, including removal of the parent testimonial link as it is not useful.
Why are high school articles kept but primary school articles deleted? That is because of WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES. Over the years there have been many deletion discussions about schools and the consensus of these discussions have been that high schools should be kept. As I've said before, an article on a primary school can be kept, but there must be evidence that it is notable.
If the Rosemount article is deleted you can create it again. However, if the article has the same problem (a lack of notability), then it is likely to be deleted again. If this happens too many times, the article is likely to be "salted", which means the article title is locked so that only an admin can create a new article with that name. If this happens and it is you who keeps recreating the article, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. So, in other words, if the article is deleted because the school is not notable, then creating a new one is a bad idea unless you find some new information that shows the school's notability.
At the moment, the deletion discussion appears that the article will be "redirected" to either Siglap or East Region, Singapore. That means if someone searches for "Rosemount International School", they will automatically be transferred to the article on the area. If that happens, you can add a short (1 or 2 sentence) description of the school to that page. You may need to create a new section for that. We can discuss the best way to do that. Ok thank you for the thorough explanation. I understand a little bit more now. I have already updated the link in the External Link section for Rosemount International. I hope this is enough. :) Shazrinarmk2015 (talk) 00:48, 6 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rosemount kindergarten, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://deletionpedia.org/en/Rosemount_International_School.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
