March 2017[edit]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Whaley Hall, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:31, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest editing[edit]

Information icon Hello, Shavivahall. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Whaley Hall, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:44, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Whaley Hall[edit]

I echo Marchjuly's message above in that you really need to avoid this article, as well as editing any article in which you have a personal relationship or connection with. Doing so represents a conflict of interest issue, which is behavior that is highly discouraged and controversial to the community. This is because of the fact that it hinders your ability to edit the article in a manner so that it reflects a neutral point of view. Furthermore, your changes don't appear to be directly attributed to reliable sources, or aren't stated in the URLs you reference as you present them to be. This is problematic, and it is disruptive if done so repeatedly and without care to understand issues that editors come to you with. Please take time to review these policies, and discuss the issues at-hand on the article's talk page (you can click here to go there). If you have questions about these policies and guidelines, please do not hesitate to message me on my user talk page here. Please consider my input and contribute to articles that interest you, but where you have no personal ties like this. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:27, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
