To our newest Rollbacker

I have just granted you rollback rights because I believe you to be trustworthy, and because you have a history of reverting vandalism and have given in the past or are trusted in the future to give appropriate warnings. Please have a read over WP:ROLLBACK and remember that rollback is only for use against obvious vandalism. Please use it that way (it can be taken away by any admin at a moment's notice). You may want to consider adding {{Rollback}} and {{User rollback}} to your userpage. Any questions, please drop me a line. Best of luck and thanks for volunteering! upstateNYer 11:20, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries when making huge edits like this. Thanks. --Legolas (talk2me) 08:50, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Editing help Thank you and I apologize for those mistakes. I'll do it differently next time. Carmaker1 (talk) 20:16, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

I understand why you nominated the album because of a lack of reliable sources. Now that reliable sources have been provided, do you still feel the album needs to be deleted from Wikipedia? Aspects (talk) 20:50, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Since you feel it no longer needs to be deleted, you should make an edit to AfD stating so, either striking out your previous comment or just adding a statement after it. Per WP:Speedy keep, the deletion could be closed early since no one else has voted delete and if you withdraw your nomination. Aspects (talk) 17:34, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Yes I will use that in the future, I have reverted my edits back though, I added citation for all the releases there was no need for you to revert. Jayy008 (talk) 06:51, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

What wrong information? It was released on all iTunes but Switzerland, UK and Germany on that date which is why I put "Worldwide" Jayy008 (talk) 20:48, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

I didn't put it there because I don't know when it's going to be released in Switzerland, anybody is welcome to add Switzerland if they know it and as for United States I put the date per iTunes and Amazon in America, I thought they would be correct, my mistake. Singles Collection discussion

This album isn't different, but it is Wikipedia's standards to only include one cover art unless there is enough reason to include more than one, such as for Radar, which was discussed in the article as to why there is more than one cover art.

See WP:NFCC, WP:NFCC#3a, WP:NFCC#5, WP:NFCC#8, WP:ALBUM, Template:Infobox album#Template:Extra chronology 2, and Template:Extra album cover 2.

PopMusicBuff talk 23:38, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on The Cherrytree Sessions (Lady Gaga EP), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — ξxplicit 05:57, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Britney Spears The Singles Collection Boxset Version

I'm really sorry, someone had edited the original version that showed all the songs she recorded before first working with Max Martin and I didn't know they were included on the Boxset. Thank you for correcting that mistake of mine.Carmaker1 (talk) 06:33, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

No. Anyone can edit Wikipedia, I'm not doing all the editing myself. You have no right to demand me to do anything. Listing singles in the lead section is not needed, pointless, and redundant. --Shadow (talk) 04:46, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:SinglesFanBoxSet.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:SinglesFanBoxSet.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chase wc91 23:28, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Redirect to section of The Onyx Hotel Tour

I'm not sure why you undid this edit. Perhaps I was too vague in indicating where the redirect comes from. To be explicit, it is Britney Spears: Live From Miami – The Onyx Hotel Tour. Per Help:Section, a comment should be placed in Wikitext to indicate a redirect to a section of a page, so that if future editors modify the section name they will be alerted to also modify the redirect. I have again added a comment to the page. Please contact me if my rationale is still unclear. Thanks, Cnilep (talk) 18:09, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Not Myself Tonight

Excuse me, I understand perfectly, but this is Wikipedia, not ShadowRangerpedia, there are guidelines which you have to follow when editing, for a song it has to have recieved alot of third-party coverage AND charted or it can't have it's own article. Just because as you said, it's premiered and has cover-art, makes no difference. Jayy008 (talk) 22:48, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

I did not shout, you did on the discussion with caps, to meet noteablility guidelines as song has to chart, please see at the top of the discussion, I don't make the rules, all that has to be done is to revert the delete and everything is back, I hate to say it but cover art and release date isn't enough. Jayy008 (talk) 18:36, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Other EP's

Hehe... I see... Well, as I discussed before with, I think his/her nickname was Platinum Fire or something like that, the only EPs that should be included on the template and mentioned on the abstract of the BS discography, should be the EP's that are important for her career and chronology, and EPs like Key or like the Herbal doesn't mean that criteria, so we shouldn't include those EP's. My sig overlaps your username

Two things:

  1. May I ask where you came up with the username? I'm mildly bitter that people have been taking it more and more over time, but I'm not going to complain; I'm guessing you (like others) picked it up from Power Rangers a few years after I started using it, given that independently constructing it in the same way I did would have required a very specific form of childhood geekery unlikely to be duplicated.
  2. I tweaked my sig to remove the RIT suffix, making it look like your username (though it obviously links to the right pages). You are clearly using an even more truncated version of the username, so sig confusion seems unlikely, but I wanted to make sure you were okay with it.

Any problems, questions? Let me know. Keep the thread here; if I don't respond for a few days, leave a {{tb}} for me. —ShadowRanger (talk|stalk) 17:37, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Yep, I got it from Power Rangers S.P.D. Been using it since early 2005 on various sites. I don't care that you don't have the RIT part. I've had my signature as Shadow for years now, so most people I see on a regular basis should figure it out. --Shadow (talk) 03:11, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Photos for Courtyard Hounds

Greetings, I add photos to musician's biographies (since so many people have problems uploading images) in addition to editing. I assembled the majority of Martie Maguire's article, which later-- a lot was moved to the band page, in 2006, I think. I just added a photo to Maguire's page from the Court Yard Hounds performance recently in Austin, Texas, which is where she lives, BTW. I am fairly certain I can get one of Robison as well. Take a look at the Maguire article and see what you think about a change to the photo(s) of the sisters since the last photos I added a couple of years ago, and these are only a couple of months old, if that. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 18:23, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:31, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Question for administrator

{{adminhelp}} Dear admin(s), in order to avoid an edit war, I'm asking for help. As you can see, on this album page, underneath the release date in the infobox is a link which takes you to the Release History section below to show all of the release dates. Now, I have seen dozens if not hundreds of albums with this on the page and so I checked the rules to make sure if it was ok. WP:ALBUM does not say this is against the rules so I added it to some other albums. However, now other people are removing it saying it is unnecessary among other "reasons". I wanted to see if it was ok if albums could have this. It doesn't cause any harm and just makes it quicker to look at the Release History. --Shadow (talk) 22:22, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Have you tried asking at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums? Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 22:30, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
I have not. I figured that I would just get the same responses from the same exact users and thought it was better to just ask an admina nd get it over with. --Shadow (talk) 22:57, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Since al pages are built by consensus, if several editors decide not to have it in place, then you are effectively outvoted. I would try posting at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums - yes, you will find the editors who want it out, but you may well find more that like it in and have not seen your edits, and maybe even a policy ruling can be generated.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:34, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Re: Rihanna discography

Discography charts are given order by place of origin. User:Johnfrompickney altered the discography because its an established fact that Rihanna is Barbadian a.k.a from Barbados. In the absense of the barbados chart no other chart can automatically come first so they're in complete alphabetical order meaning the US goes near the end. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 04:06, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Rollback Question

{{helpme}}

Sorry for putting this here, but I always forget to check the help desk. I've been a rollbacker on Wikipedia for about 11 months. However, I have noticed that some other non-admin users can revert multiple users edits, not just the last contributor's (Reverted to revision # by username). How do I ask to be granted this ability? --Shadow (talk) 04:17, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

They are probably using Twinkle or popups. There are probably several other tools that do something similar. Huggle is another one that sprang to mind. Killiondude (talk) 04:57, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

Something I really need to tell you

The content that I edited on the Phantom Ruler: Zoroark page... I replaced the poster and title with the official English title and poster, because the title was leaked on PokéBeach.com and the poster was also leaked on that website. Please do understand that I was only trying to edit it because I had the source of the leaked poster and title.

I am just saying that if you are trying to change something, first you change it, then if you get reverted, you discuss it, not re-revert them. You may be right, but you have to get people to agree with you first. A discussion doesn't happen in edit summaries. Blake (Talk·Edits) 15:04, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

3DS talk page

I know you're not supposed to delete or alter stuff that other say on a talk page, but is there really a problem with combining sections about the exact same topic, concerning the exact same ideas and people, and putting it in one section? The actual content was kept in the same order and unaltered. (Besides, the only reason it was done was because an ISP didn't know any better. Someone had even instructed the person on the talk page to stop doing that.) Sergecross73 msg me 20:34, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

There isn't a problem, as stated in WP:TPO. As long as no content is changed, layout changes are perfectly fine, especially to help readability (as it was in this case). ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 21:01, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Samurai

JUST LEAVE THE GOD DAMN NUMBER OUT. It's not fucking important to the article to say that it's the 18th/19th/whatever version of the show.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:12, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

YEAH, it is. Don't act all threatening to me. This site always lists season numbers, Power Rangers is no different. --Shadow (talk) 05:33, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
It is not at all important. If you and Powergate92 cannot fucking decide which number to use then there should be no god damn number in the lead paragraph. I will be starting a discussion on the talk page. Do not revert the page, again in the mean time.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:37, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
How about you not revert the page? You don't own these pages yet you have always acted like you do. I'm adding the correct information, not some false information that Nick screwed up on. --Shadow (talk) 05:40, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Do not add any information. The MMPR rerun apparently counts as the 18th season according to Saban. However, you are right that it Samurai could be considered the 18th in some count, but clearly we need to discuss it rather than revert war. And I don't see anything that points out particular numbers on the official website.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:41, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Talk page edit summaries

power rangers samurai

Hey man, just wanted to say I totally agree with you. It should be changed. I even found a source that says it's the 18th: http://www.saban.com/html/brands/pr.html, however he still won't compromise or anything. Total jackass in my humble opinion. Is he just another subscriber like you and me or is he an official editor or some such? He acts like he owns these pages or something.

Stix2mallets (talk) 03:20, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

More sources say 19 than 18, and that source you are picking out Stix2mallets is older than all the others. Deal with it and stop harping on about it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:29, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Then why the hell don't you compromise, huh? It's not that difficult. And I was talking to Shadow. I didn't invite you into this conversation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stix2mallets (talkcontribs) 03:47, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Oh, and that source? It's from 2011. Thanks. Not to mention that PowerRangers.com DOES NOT list the re-vision as a season. Hmm, that sounds official to me. But maybe I should have you check the wiki rules to make sure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stix2mallets (talkcontribs)
There is no compromise because we have to use what reliable sources say. A two year old statement by Saban is not better than those made within the past few months when Saban Brands has decided that the MMPR reruns are their own season. And that site is not from 2011. The copyright is, but that particular website is not. And there would be no reason to list MMPR twice. If Saban has decided it's the 19th season, that's all we're allowed to say. And I can talk wherever the hell I want to.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:53, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Right, of course you can. I'm sorry. Except that you were butting into a conversation that you didn't belong to. It's rude to eavesdrop. Oh, but wait. Rude is your middle name. You don't own this site, so mind your own business and stay out of other peoples. Just because I said something about you to someone else, on HIS page, doesn't mean you can butt in. And I'd like to see where on that website it says that article is not from 2011. Seeing as the site is being updated currently, you'd think they'd change such a drastic error. "Oh my gosh, it says 18th, but really it's the 19th, we should change that." But wait, you haven't? Hmm, I wonder if that says something. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stix2mallets (talkcontribs) 04:07, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

This is a public website. This isn't a private message. It's visible for everyone to see. It's not his page. It's just the page he gets messages on. And every press release which is a reliable source uses 19, not 18. So we have to go with what the reliable sources say. Not what one page hidden away on the production company's website says.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:09, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

So if I'm walking down the street talking to my friend, and you just happen to walk by us, you think that gives you the right to put in your 2 cents? I don't think so. And that page isn't "hidden away." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stix2mallets (talkcontribs) 04:13, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Stix, you are on a fucking public website. If you want privacy, then e-mail Shadow but don't complain when Ryulong comments on something that you are both involved in. In terms of who is right, he is. You are basing your argument from the looks of it on one website that just might say that because it is a typo. Stop arguing and trying to push a point that is probably invalid. Just accept that you are wrong because you are hurting yourself the more you argue this. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 04:33, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Wow, definitely didn't invite you. As you say, it is public, but my reference/analogy is valid. He wasn't involved in my comment to Shadow. Was it about him? Yes. But it wasn't for him, nor did it have anything to do with the argument between myself and him. The specific argument we were having. Think about it. Now, I didn't ask for your opinion. You can go ahead and think he's right all you want, doesn't make it so. My argument is quite valid. It is a very valid point and raises valid questions. Just because the rules of this site say the press release is official and nothing else is so don't change anything doesn't mean what I'm saying and what Shadow has previously said is false or made up. They are valid points and quite true. Canon, you might say. Something that is regarded as generally true all around. But like I said to Ryu, I'd love to go 12 more rounds about who's right and who's wrong, but it wouldn't matter. This is a public website as you both have said. So with all due respect to you, sir, who have also rudely butted into a conversation (I don't even know you by the way, nor do you know me, so that just makes it weird), I have some pages to edit.

Stix2mallets (talk) 04:47, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Wow, man. Totally sorry for the grand debate that just blew up on your page. Probably my fault, but Ryu is an ass. I do stick by my first comment though, in that I agree with you. But again, sorry for the mess. Cheers.

S&M as Britney's single

Circus Tour

why are you undoing my edits to circus tour? i'm only adding information included in the source. The setlist included two songs from britney and one from greatest hits album. there is no reason this can't be added. Also it is biased to say that touch of my hand/breathe on me and baby one more time were highlights. You do not have the authority to deem this true or say who or who can not edit an article. Anyone can edit! — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 19:08, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

There is no need to list how many songs from each album are on the setlist. It adds nothing to the article and is not notable. Everything in that section is already properly sourced. Yes everyone has the right to edit, but when issues come up you needs to reach a consensus. You are being out-ruled 3-1. Stop editing it. --Shadow (talk) 19:21, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Exactly, it should be an all or none principle, either include how many from each and every album or none at all! Why is breathe one me/touch of my hand and baby one more time notable? but do something and the two songs from britney are not? this is a matter of opinion only. — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 19:39, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

It lists In the Zone, Blackout, and Circus songs because those albums form the majority of the setlist. The rest does not need to be listed. The other songs are there because it comes from a source saying that. --Shadow (talk) 19:47, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

This information is already listed in the opening paragraph then. I checked the source and it does not say that breathe on me/touch of my hand and baby one more time were highlights. There were other medleys and remixes, so why are those two more notable? Just the part about including blackout songs and everytime not being listed is the only new information worth mentioning then.May62567 (talk) 19:51, 16 October 2011 (UTC)may62567

Here is how the source describes it, it mentions other remixes and songs, but does not say that the touch of my hand/breathe on me medley and baby one more time remix were any more important: According to the set list, the show is broken into four parts — Circus, House of Fun (Anything Goes), Freakshow/Peepshow, Electo Circ — and an encore. Up-tempo tracks dominate the entire set, and the first three-quarters are heavy on material from Spears' last two albums, Circus and Blackout, including singles "Piece of Me," "Radar" and her latest, controversial song "If U Seek Amy." Britney reaches back to 2001's Britney for "Boys" and grabs a mash-up of "Breathe on Me" and "Touch of My Hand," both from 2003's In the Zone. The only song from her breakout 1999 debut ...Baby One More Time on the list is a remix of the title track. Other reworked tracks set for the show include a remix of "Circus" and a Bollywood rendition of "Me Against the Music" — no word if Madonna will repay Britney's favor and make an appearance at one of Spears' shows, since the Material Mom guests on the song and video from In the Zone. As he's reported repeatedly on his own Website, Perez Hilton was invited to film a cameo as "The Ringleader/ Queen Elizabeth I" in the tour's opening video by tour director Jamie King. — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 20:05, 16 October 2011 (UTC) And how am i outruled 3 to 1? right now its 1 to 1. so no i won't let it go. user xwomanizer agreed the word highlights could be changed, so lets atleast agree to that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 20:24, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

3 users have reverted your edits. That's 3 to 1. Highlights was agreed to be changed, but removing the entire section and adding the other information was not. Wikipedia may be open to everyone to edit, but when a dispute happens it needs to come to a consensus and you are not doing that. All you are doing is saying, I'm right you are wrong. Change the word highlights if you want, but the section as a whole has been agreed to stayed by more users. --Shadow (talk) 20:29, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

ok i agree with how you reworded it without highlights, it does not sound biased this way. thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by May62567 (talkcontribs) 21:03, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
