I am indeed the creator of the CSP article, but I have no affiliation with the Patrol. I'm simply very interested in law enforcement (I actually plan on joining the Florida Highway Patrol after I finish college), and that's why I wanted to write the article. All of my information came directly from the CSP's website. Since then, the article has been edited by numerous other contributors, and I can't say where they got their info from (such as the bit about the transition to .40 cal. sidearms).

As far as watching the article daily for vandalism, it's probably unnecessary, but definitely not a bad idea. I myself have the article in my "watchlist," so that if anyone changes the article, it will show up in the list and I can check the edit to make sure it's not vandalism. There are probably several other editors with the article watchlisted in addition to me - so if someone does vandalize it, it would be quickly reverted.
