Speedy deletion nomination of List of Actors, People, Characters and Animals[edit]

Hello Sa925,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged List of Actors, People, Characters and Animals for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. R!j!n (talk) 07:50, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas & Friends[edit]

Hello, I am ACase0000 and I am a member of the WikiProject:Thomas and I noticed you recently had been creating articles on specific episodes. We don't need separate pages unless, the episode is significant to have it's own article. And you needed to add references. --ACase0000 (talk) 12:45, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Thomas & Gordon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{Ping|I dream of horses}} to your message. (talk to me) (contributions) @ 04:25, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikilinks to episodes[edit]

Hi there, re: these edits [1][2] (and about a dozen similar ones), we shouldn't be adding wikilinks for individual episodes unless there is a strong likelihood that individual articles will be created for those episodes. Equally important to mention is that individual episodes are rarely notable to warrant an article and these articles often get deleted or redirected soon after they are created. An article should only be created if an episode has received significant attention and coverage by academics, critics, in books, magazines, etc., for noteworthy subject matter, controversy, production problems, etc. Hope that helps. I will be removing the wikilinks you added. It's nothing personal. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:06, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contractions[edit]

Hi there, you have at least twice that I am aware of, restored contractions [3][4], specifically changing "cannot" to "can't" even though in this edit I was very specific in my edit summary that I was removing the contraction because it conflicts with WP:TONE. Contractions like "can't", "don't", "wouldn't", "ain't" etc are not considered appropriate tone for an encyclopedia. While you are allowed to disagree, unless you have achieved a local consensus for these inclusions your resubmission of the improper tone is disruptive. It's a fairly easy problem to avoid, and I want to let you know that I have seen editors blocked over persistent resubmission of their preferred casual tone, so I would strongly encourage you to drop the stick on this, since the community wants more formal language. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:28, 7 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Percy in the Ocean.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Steel1943 (talk) 04:14, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Your edits have or will be reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Diffs: [6] Your edits here were disruptive for a couple of reasons: You knew the plot section was too long, but still opted to add to it, and you ignored an obvious embedded note, as well as the talk page discussion on the matter, to restore pointless content unrelated to the plot. Orphaned non-free image File:Thomas and Percy at the Coal Hopper.png[edit]

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Unexplained removal of reference[edit]

Please do not remove references as you did here without providing a valid explanation. If your problem with the reference was that it no longer resolved, you should:

1. Flag the reference as dead by putting {{dead link}} just before the closing ref tag:

<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/entertainment/1999/02/02/1999-02-02_a_lucky_few_children_get_to_.html |title=A Lucky Few Children Get to Start Using Their Noggin|author= |publisher=[[NY Daily News]] |date=1999-02-02 |accessdate=2009-10-26}} {{dead link}}</ref>

2. Take a minute and see if there's an archive at The Wayback Machine, and add it to the reference.

<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/entertainment/1999/02/02/1999-02-02_a_lucky_few_children_get_to_.html |title=A Lucky Few Children Get to Start Using Their Noggin|author= |publisher=[[NY Daily News]] |date=1999-02-02 |accessdate=2009-10-26|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20131203003430/http://www.nydailynews.com/...html|archivedate=December 3, 2013|deadurl=yes}}</ref>
In this case, there was no valid archive for this URL, which takes us to a third option:

3. Search for the reference manually. I found http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/entertainment/lucky-children-start-noggin-article-1.825516.

I'm updating the article with the new info. Please note that Wikipedia is a community project, so communication is a must. If you are not willing/capable to explain your edits or discuss anything with other editors, you will likely not have a great time here. The Help Desk is available for you to ask questions if you don't know how to do something. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:52, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, Sa925. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
