Global account[edit]

Hi SMP0328.! As a Steward I'm involved in the upcoming unification of all accounts organized by the Wikimedia Foundation (see m:Single User Login finalisation announcement). By looking at your account, I realized that you don't have a global account yet. In order to secure your name, I recommend you to create such account on your own by submitting your password on Special:MergeAccount and unifying your local accounts. If you have any problems with doing that or further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Cheers, —DerHexer (Talk) 22:23, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

i have stopped with the origional research, and am looking for citations, if you find any more, just revert it because it was before i read the policy thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rebelalliance352 (talkcontribs) 00:55, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your welcome. SMP0328. (talk) 01:04, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the message. Re: Learned Hand[edit]

My point is that there is no immediate reference for his having voted for FDR. There is as citation at the end of the entire paragraph, does it include who he voted for? Perhaps but seems rather unlikely. So this isn't a general question about Learned Hand it's a question about the accuracy of the information in the biography. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Happy Wisdom (talkcontribs) 00:24, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hillary Rodham Clinton - Move Discussion[edit]

Hi,

This is a notification to let you know that there is a requested move discussion ongoing at Talk:Hillary_Rodham_Clinton/April_2015_move_request#Requested_move. You are receiving this notification because you have previously participated in some capacity in naming discussions related to the article in question.

Thanks. And have a nice day. NickCT (talk) 18:52, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Some opposers of this move have now contended that there is a "Critical fault in proposal evidence", which brings the opinions expressed into question. Please indicate if this assertion in any way affects your position with respect to the proposed move. Cheers! bd2412 T 04:37, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My position is unchanged. I'm still neutral and for still for the reasons I've given. I hope the above revulation does not result in a reboot of the RM. SMP0328. (talk) 05:48, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you know me, then you should know my real name (as opposed to my user name). SMP0328. (talk) 17:15, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

End of Barack Obama's second term[edit]

This goes beyond a simple prediction. It is a virtual certainty that on January 20, 2017, he will be succeeded by the President-elect. Why do you have an issue with including that comment in the infobox? Dustin (talk) 19:22, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Because Wikipedia does not predict the future. While we both want Obama to finish his term, and he highly likely will, he could cease to be President before the end of this term. We just have to wait and fill that parameter when Obama leaves office. SMP0328. (talk) 21:16, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Your reasoning in your response here is more valid, as his term could by some unfortunate turn of events be prematurely terminated. That aside, I disagree with your invocation of WP:CRYSTAL as this is not "unverifiable speculation". Dustin (talk) 21:22, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That policy also says, "Dates are not definite until the event actually takes place." SMP0328. (talk) 21:29, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bush vs. Gore[edit]

You say that introductions do not need sourcing, but WP:LEDE says that "a lead section should contain no more than four well-composed paragraphs and be carefully sourced as appropriate"? Vrrajkum (talk) 01:29, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"The presence of citations in the introduction is neither required in every article nor prohibited in any article." (see here). Sourcing in a BLP Introduction may be necessary when a part thereof is challenged. SMP0328. (talk) 01:50, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
