December 2009[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also useful when reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Paste Let’s have a chat. 18:10, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Again...[edit]

Please stop with the disruptive edits at Kesha (singer), you have already been blocked once for these edits, and returned from the block to continue in exactly the same manner. If you continue with these disruptive edits, you will be blocked again. You have made absolutely no attempt to communicate with anyone, or read the assorted Wikipedia policies. There are two problems with your editing, the first is your edit war with multiple users on that article, and the second is your additions of protection templates to the article, when it is not protected. You have been warned about both of these in the past, and blocked for them. - Adolphus79 (talk) 17:48, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Agnes Carlsson discography, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. please stop changing the text sizes and adding more than 10 countries to the tables. oh and could you also change the text on your userpage that you copied from mine... thanks Mister sparky (talk) 20:30, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Climb[edit]

Thank you very much for your contributions to The Climb. I removed the formatting/infobox of the X Factor single for now, but it will go right back up as soon as the cover version charts somewhere. We can't presume it will chart until it does (although it almost certainly will chart) per WP:CRYSTAL, and adding infoboxes for uncharted singles makes the page unneccessarily long. Hope that makes sense! Liqudlucktalk 21:04, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:JoeMcElderryTheClimb.JPG[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:JoeMcElderryTheClimb.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ZooFari 02:53, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strange edit to parameters on protection notification template[edit]

Just wondered why you changed the protection notification on Joe McElderry to have an incorrect expiry date?[1] I've reverted the change. Nancy talk 14:14, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. you have been removing content, adding unsourced content and generally been disruptive to a number of articles and the majority of your edits have to be reverted. please stop or you will be blocked. Mister sparky (talk) 15:38, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? (song), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/singlesreviews/a191982/paloma-faith-do-you-want-the-truth-or-something-beautiful.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:22, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm afraid that extensive quotations are forbidden by policy (see WP:NFC). To conform with fair use, quotations must not constitute too substantial a part of either the original text or the document in which it is being used. You can certainly quote a few words from [2], but you can't copy the entire review into Wikipedia, even if you put it in quotation marks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:36, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Joe McElderry[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When making edits please try and keep to information that is notable, and use references such as the date that information is valid. For example, your recent edits to Joe McElderry made reference to 'the last two days' which is not standard wikipedia format. This has little meaning without knowledge of the date on which this information was added. A better reference would be 'As of XX December 2009, ' or similar. When making edits, it is often useful to enter a brief description of your edit, and to add to the discussions on the talk page for the article to explain what changes you made and why you thought they are useful. Thanks. Bertcocaine (talk) 22:31, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have now removed your quotation of sales figures for the latest (27th December) week of the charts; Whilst I can find plenty of confirmation on Joe's 196,000, there are conflicting numbers for RATM. Please see the article talk pages for Joe McElderry and The Climb for further information on the edits I have made. Thanks. Bertcocaine (talk) 23:33, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Non mover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Non mover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:12, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Macros[edit]

Please stop reverting my chart edits on songs. This is considered vandalism. Jayy008 (talk) 18:12, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop changing the charts. The new macros are coming into effect. They are more reliable. You will be blocked from making edits on here if you continue to vandalise. Jayy008 (talk) 18:50, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A warning[edit]

Please do not ignore talk page communication, especially when other editors are questioning specific edits you've made. It also does not help matters when you remove comments [3], warnings [4] and/or block templates [5] (they can always be found in your page's edit history anyway). If you are disrupting articles and removing/changing information without edit summaries or any communication with others, this may eventually lead to a block. Thanks. - eo (talk) 23:44, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Esmee Denters[edit]

You do not seem to understand the rules about discography. First of all "Follow My Lead" is counted as a proper single because it is featured on some released of Outta Here. If you don't understand what i mean then look at the example of Leona Lewis discography where "A Moment Like This" is listed as a single from Spirit even though it only appears on the UK version of the album. Also "Crazy Place" was still released as a single. So there is no reason to seperate them. In future if you do not use a WP:edit summary and do not discuss such changes to an article when they have been undone you could get into trouble for being unhelpful. (WP:IDHT, WP:Disruptive). Repeated recreation of One Shot (JLS song)[edit]

Please top repeatedly recreating One Shot (JLS song) and links to it. It was deleted at a deletion discussion,Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/One Shot (JLS song). Disruptive vandalism to Alexandra Burke articles, please see Wikipedia:Record charts.[edit]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to Bad Boys (Alexandra Burke song). If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing.

The new chart macros aren't on Wikipedia: Record Charts yet because of problems with Beyonce and others. Jayy008 (talk) 18:21, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive behaviour[edit]

I suggest you engage in communication the editors who take issue with your contributions, and you do it immediately. You haven't edited a talk page since December 09, and you have never edited an article talk page. If you don't start discussing and explaining your edits, your account is going to be blocked out - it doesn't matter how many warnings you take from your talk page. Edit war[edit]

Hello. You appear to be involved in an edit war on JLS . While the three-revert rule is hard and fast, please be aware that you can be blocked for edit warring without making 3 reverts to an article in 24 hours. You are not entitled to 3 reverts and are expected to cooperatively engage other editors on talk pages rather than reverting their edits. Note that posting your thoughts on the talk page alone is not a license to continue reverting. You must reach consensus. Continued edit warring may cause you to be blocked. Toddst1 (talk) 23:13, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Marina and the Diamonds' discography[edit]

Hi there. I am messaging you regarding your recent edits to Marina and the Diamonds. Please leave the layout of the discography section as it is unless new information needs to be added (for example: new single, chart entry etc). The layout is fine the way it is. Thanks. Jonny (talk) 17:52, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you stop moving the UK chart up on the singles template on the Justin Bieber article. The columns are listed in alphabetical order.

Repeated linking to One Shot (JLS song)[edit]

You have continued to repeatedly create links to One Shot (JLS song). As you know, the article on that song was deleted at this AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/One Shot (JLS song). If you wish to contest the deletion, you must make your argument at WP:DRV. If you continue to add links to this deleted article, your disruptive behavior will lead to your being blocked. January 2010[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for Once more, you have continued to partake in low grade edit warring without any attempt to communicate your intentions. I can see that since your last warning from me, you have given a number of users cause to speak to you about your changes, and I see no evidence that you have attempted to establish consensus. Upon your return, change your editing habits - lest more serious sanctions be put in place.. Please stop. You are welcome to make useful contributions after the block expires. One Shot[edit]

This is your final warning[edit]

You've been reverted and have been asked not to add "TBA"'s to charts tables in music articles, as well as the incorrect re-formatting text (to small) when this should not be done per WP:DISCOG and WP:MoS. For the final time, stop doing this.

File copyright problem with File:Poppiholla.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Poppiholla.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 00:58, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
