Image copyright problem with Image:Inktomi.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Inktomi.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

A tag has been placed on Israels hope, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. I placed the {{advert}} link on the page because the tone of the article is not encyclopedic. It's written like something more promotional that you would find on the band's web page. Some examples of non-neutral writing are:

  • "Paul Wilbur is a dynamic speaker and musician who has inspired thousands of people around the world."
  • "He is an extremely talented composer."
  • "You can learn more about this CD on the "fvgifts Website"."
  • telling people where they can find the CDs

If the article is re-written to sound less promotional and more neutral, then the tag can be removed. Note that the article is not up for deletion. The tag is merely to alert editors that the article needs cleanup. ... discospinster talk 15:21, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Dr Thomas Pollard for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Dr Thomas Pollard, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr Thomas Pollard until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. W Nowicki (talk) 03:20, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fort Dick[edit]

Hiya: I was wondering if you had some time to work on the cleanup of Fort Dick, California? I found the book The War of the Rebellion George M. Hanson [1] but I can't find the letter you reference: 2 July 1862 letter to Brigadier General George Wright, the Union Commander of the Department of the Pacific. Any chance you could take a look at the ebook and point me to the right letters? Thanking you in advance. Ellin Beltz (talk) 18:26, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
