A tag has been placed on Hawes & Curtis, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Huffington Post[edit]

I would ask if you are paid by the Huffington Post to edit Wikipedia, as if so you should review this page and declare that if you are. Thanks. 331dot (talk) 10:09, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am not paid by Huffington post to edit Wikipedia, I do so as a person who supports Wikipedia and has benefited by the Wikipedia's knowledge in the past. I also like writing and I like to disclose where you can find my blog posts.

Hi, thanks for email. I deleted your article twice because it was highly promotional in tone and appeared to be posted by the company or someone associated with it for the purposes of promotion. You claim it was not promotional, but let's look at just the first sentence, where I've bolded unsourced claims presented as fact Hawes & Curtis is a renowned British shirt maker located on London’s famous Jermyn Street. In addition to producing high quality shirts, the brand offers premium menswear and womenswear collections.

The article was deleted three times by two different admins as spam, and when I saw the article had been recreated again, my intention was to delete and protect the page from further recreation. However, Dai Pritchard made these edits to clean up and despam the article, effectively saving it. You might want to thank him for that!

I strongly advise against adding promotional text again, since it will result in the article being deleted and recreation blocked, cheers Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:30, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
