This is your Talk page where you can recieve messages from other Wikipedians and discuss things with them. At the end of your messages you must put your signature by signing with four~~~~ or by pressing the button in the editor shown here in the picture. Do not sign in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted Chaosdruid (talk) 13:45, 23 June 2010 (UTC).[reply]

The article RElements has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems to be advertising of non notable company

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Chaosdruid (talk) 11:04, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

COI ?[edit]

Hi

You have deleted the prod tag from the article. You gave your reason as "(This lists fact of a high tech venture company. I have chosen it as my first contribution on wikipedia as it is one of the few companies in the world that favor development instead of profits.)"

I am sorry if it seems that your work is being rejected as not valid but this is not the case. Your contributions are welcome as long as they follow the established guidelines and rules for article creation and additions.

It is with little surprise that a suspected conflict of interest would arise with your name corresponding to the initials of the founder of the company, Rafael Gracioso Martins, followed by corp.

Unfortunately the company in the article should have notability and in particular for companies and organisations which it seems might not be the case.

Wikipedia is not a place for advertising or self promotion and if no reliable sources can be found for notability the article may be deleted.

The next tag I add will be a request to other editors to assess the article to see if it should stay or be deleted and this tag must remain in place until the artice has been assessed

From the article "Rafael Gracioso Martins, a young entrepreneur who worked and developed Chemical Vapor Deposition chambers for producing advanced composites...", and the only contributing author is rgmcorp. Coincidence? I think not. Blatant self-promotion, in direct contravention of policy.

I have nominated RElements, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Log/2010_June_23#RElements. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Chaosdruid (talk) 13:49, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do not be disheartened. Even if the article is to be deleted you can keep it in your own userspace to edit later and once you have sources which can be accepted the article can be re-created. (just go to your user page and type /sandbox after your name in the location bar of your browser to create the page and dump a copy of the rElements article on it and save - then go back to your user page and edit it and put [[/sandbox]] on the page to link to the sandbox you created and save)
There is no need for you to concentrate on non-commercial edits - the only time COI (sorry conflict of interest) arises is if the editor is directly linked to the article. Obviously if you are an employee/founder of rElements then editing your competitors articles in a negative way might also be seen as COI lol but these are realistically the only ways in which COI would arise for you.
I am sorry your introduction to WikiWorld was a little abrupt and perhaps left you feeling disheartened but you are most welcome. We always need experts in fields such as those delat with by rElements
If you have time perhaps you might consider joining one of the groups that deal with such topics - Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chemistry , Wikipedia:WikiProject_Rocketry and Wikipedia:WikiProject Spaceflight(if it's non military rockets u deal with) but I am guessing the most relevant for you may be Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Military science and technology task force
Don't be put off by the history part of the name, it covers up-to-date technology as well as older.
