Additions to owl articles[edit]

Rejaul karim.rk, two points:

a) please don't add watermarked or otherwise visibly attributed images to articles. All pictures published on Wikipedia are supposed to be freely re-usable by anyone, which purpose is somewhat defeated if they contain an integral copyright notice. All attribution is supposed to happen on the image information page on Commons only. This also means that no authorship info should be included in the image caption.

b) please don't add unreferenced material to articles. All material must be clearly referenced to a published source. Since, among other things, you added specific measurements, I assume that you have a source on hand that you are taking these from. Do cite that source when adding the material. Some guidelines can be found at Referencing for Beginners, or you can just orientate yourself on the referencing methods already used in the articles.

For the time being, I have removed your contributions. If you do re-add them, please heed these guidelines. Cheers --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 10:37, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Small Indian Civet, Silchar, India.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 16:45, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
