Hi! You keep adding information that Iran is a member of the SCO. It is not. The SCO has announced that Iran has started the procedures to become a full member. This process is going to take some time. It took two years for India and Pakistan from announcing they're going to become full members (in 2015) to actually becoming full members (in 2017). Yeah iran has been an observer member since 2005 after 16 year complicated process finally in September 2021 has become a main member See also: https://www.aa.com.tr/en/asia-pacific/iran-gets-full-shanghai-cooperation-organization-membership-with-russias-help/2367372# Realhitman1 (talk) 14:12, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, Iran has not become a full member yet. On September 17, 2021 it was announced that Iran is starting the procedures to become a full member. Please make sure you read and understand the following articles:
  • "News Analysis: Why is Iran keen on full SCO membership?". Xinhua. 18 September 2021.
  • "Iran Joins SCO". Financial Tribune. 17 September 2021.

Here's another article that explains why it took so long for Iran to begin the process of joining the SCO as a full member (first it was the UN sanctions, then opposition from Tajikistan):
Iran will only become a full member after the process is completed. It took India and Pakistan two years. — UnladenSwallow (talk) 14:27, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
