Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Sankar.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:09, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Sankar.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sankar.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sankar.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sankar.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:29, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Actor RajeshB.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Actor RajeshB.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 02:17, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

May 2008[edit]

Hi, the recent edit you made to Joseph Vijay has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. treelo talk 13:49, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

July 2008[edit]

You have reverted my edits to Joseph Vijay, thereby reintriducing poor writing of all kinds (bad capitalization, bad layout, and many point of view sentences with one-sided and unsourced praise of the actor. Wikipedia articles should be well-sourced, neutral and well-written. It is no problem if you create things which need cleaning up in some way (people need to cleanup my errors often enough), but to revert an improved version to an older, clearly worse version is close to vandalism. Please refrain from doing so in the future, and explain youractionjs through edit summaries or on the talk page of the article. Fram (talk) 14:23, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stop reverting edits to Joseph Vijay! Your edits are nothing but meaningless and unnecessary. Please learn how to write constructive articles before editing. --இளைய நாயகன் Eelam Stylez (talk) 11:00, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Joseph Vijay[edit]

You are becoming a serious problem in Wikipedia. Can you stop undoing what I have edited to the Joseph Vijay article? You're really messing the article up and all your information is pure nonsense. For the last time STOP CHANGING THE JOSEPH VIJAY ARTICLE. LEARN HOW TO WRITE AN ARTICLE BEFORE YOU EDIT ANY!. This is my last warning. Any more vandalism to any article will result in blocking you from editing any article. I repeat, learn how to write proper articles with proper grammar and FORMAL STYLE! இளைய நாயகன் Eelam Stylez (talk) 20:46, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for replying. The information that you add to the article has many notable grammatical and spelling errors. Your edits also do not contain formal style. Mainly, in the information you add in Joseph Vijay is only sounding like it is an advertisement of Vijay. Here is an example of a sentence you added into the article in one of your previous edits: Box office wise his "Azhagiya Tamil Magan" and "Kuruvi" met only average success after its stupendous opening in both TN and Kerala. Now Vijay and Prabhudeva has teamed up again for "Villu",rumoured as the remake of Hindi Hit Soldieris under production. Nayantara plays Vijay's leading lady. This sentence has many mistakes that are inappropriate for an encyclopedia article. You wrote Azhagiya Tamil Magan and Kuruvi had a "stupendous" opening. It is not appropriate to use adjectives that promote how good something is in an encyclopedia article, and such words are described as "peacock terms" in Wikipedia rules. Another mistake in the sentence you added is "TN". Here, I know that you mean Tamil Nadu, but the average reader won't know TN stands for Tamil Nadu (Tamils aren't the only people who use Wikipedia). You should not use unnecessary abbreviations as TN is not an official abbreviation of Tamil Nadu. A grammatical error you made was "Vijay and Prabhudeva has teamed up" where you should have wrote "have teamed up." You have also made a spelling mistake in the sentence (Soldieris when you meant to write Soldier is). Plus, stop capitalizing words in the middle of a sentence (remake of Hindi Hit). One more thing is that you should remember to provide links where applicable, such as Nayantara and Kuruvi. Also remember to italicize the names of films or any other titles of media. These certain mistakes were found in large numbers in your edits which is why I chose to change major portions of the Joseph Vijay article. It is also notable that on your talk page, other editors have also complained to you about your edits. Please take my suggestions into consideration and learn writing more constructive and appropriate articles in formal style. So please don't undo my edits as now the article is more clean. If you would like to suggest any changes, please write on the discussion page of the article. இளைய நாயகன் Eelam Stylez (talk) 00:08, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Sankar.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file showing no evidence that the copyright holder has released it under the license indicated by the uploader which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —G716 <T·C> 03:05, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation issues[edit]

Rajeshbiee, I now found Chal Chalein and Don Muthu Swami, like the two articles I listed above, have text which has been copied-pasted from copyrighted materials -- like synopses from IMDb, reviews or company press releases. Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text without being granted permission from the owners through the procedures outlined above. As I am sure you can understand, Wikipedia takes violations of copyright policy very seriously. If you have added any other copied text, I urge you to go back now and either remove it or revise it with completely original language (If revising, please read WP:Close paraphrasing to understand the difference between paraphrasing and plagiarism.) If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. CactusWriter | needles 07:54, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Rajeshbiee. I received your note. Thanks for jumping in and revising these articles. I very much appreciate your quick response on this. The temp articles will be checked at the end of the week and moved into the mainspace then. CactusWriter | needles 10:26, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Classic Dance of Love, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks for uploading File:Raakh.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Fair use rationale for File:Rajavinte_Makan1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Rajavinte_Makan1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

File copyright problem with File:PhirKabhi2009.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:PhirKabhi2009.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 23:55, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:File:Zlkh.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:File:Zlkh.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ZooFari 06:39, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:1997Loha.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:1997Loha.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:30, 19 January 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. The article Rehmat Ali has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stifle (talk) 21:27, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
