Welcome[edit]

Hello, Rafi436, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Khushab District have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Muhandes (talk) 12:50, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted data which did not have a reliable source and tagged some of the data that could be kept. Note that this in no way means that I do not agree that the district now has three tehsils. I just don't know, and we can't have such information without a source. I tagged the entire page with {{Update}} so anyone can see it needs update. I hope you understand. Best regards, and happy editing. --Muhandes (talk) 13:35, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have tagged some reliable sources reflecting the current status of administrative divisions. Rafiullah 13:52, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, this really improves the mess the article had. I added the sources properly, and tried to make sense of it all. There is still confusion about the overall number of UCs, and which belong in this new tehsil. I could recognize six of the nine and moved them but am at a loss about the rest. Can you provide sources to resolve this? Note that if English sources are not available, foreign language ones can also be used (but of course I'll need your translation). Best regards. --Muhandes (talk) 14:18, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

January 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Khushab. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. You removed the hatnote without providing a reason. You also removed a {{lang-ur}} template. I know you are pretty new to Wikipedia so perhaps you are not aware of the reasons behind these. I ask that you please be more careful when adding content not to remove things you do not understand. Muhandes (talk) 13:41, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Model Town Massacre[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Model Town Massacre. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – 2014 Lahore clash. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2014 Lahore clash – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. MJ94 (talk) 20:43, 29 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your feedback. I didn't realise that an article covering the same incident already existed. I myself proposed the article to be deleted. Thanks. Rafiullah (talk) 22:11, 29 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
