Maasai Mara

Please do not revert the spelling of Maasai Mara back to the single 'a'. The double 'aa' spelling is the correct spelling, it is how we refer to our people, our culture and also the Maasai Mara. Hello. The main reason for the revert was that you did not move the article to the new lemma, but simply copy&paste the content while overwriting the old content. This is what we call a copyright violation. Second it is not very polite to make such a big change without prior discussion.
Further please have in mind, that this is the english wikipedia, so it has to be considered what is the most widely used spelling, and this Masai. For all other variants of the spelling there are redirects.
Finally you did not provide any source for your claims, please refer to Wikipedia:Verifiability.

Masai Mara brings more than 1 Million google hits, the other spelling only about the half. So the spelling with one 'a' is clearly the on we have to use in Wikipedia, since it is internationally recognized.
Since you continued to edit waring despite the warning and are not willing to get firm with basic Wikipedia guidelines, I consider your behavior as vandalism. --R.Schuster (talk) 11:15, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

You asked me to provide sources and I have provided sources for the right spelling and I have from our local county councils, the local conservancy and our Tourism Board. it is not fair that you go by the number of hits as popularity does not prove that something is right. Look at the type of websites that prefer the double 'aa' spelling. Hello. You start with being hard headed by continuing with technically wrong moves against the consensus and despite warning. You did not provide a source for your claims that the 'a'-spelling is "colonialists misspelt". You only provided some pages with the 'aa'-spelling and I showed you that there more than the double amount of pages with one 'a', what is internationally recognized. This is nothing about being unfair, this is about following long time implemented and well working basic Wikipedia rules and guidelines. Most are written by foreigners but I hope the above links and also the previous links which show our preferred spelling will help persuade you.
