Disambiguation link notification for January 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Roads in Kerala, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kannadi. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Caps[edit]

I undid your move of Nilambur–Shoranur railway line to capitalize the last two words. See MOS:CAPS and let me know if there is any reason to treat this as a proper name. Dicklyon (talk) 01:37, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You were right, Dicklyon. Thanks. Prof TPMS (talk)

WikiCup 2016: Game On![edit]

We are about to enter the second week of the 2016 WikiCup. The most recent player to sign up brings the current total to 101 contestants. Signups close on 5 February. If you’re interested, you can join this year's WikiCup here.

We are aware that in some areas the scoring bot’s numbers are a little bit off (i.e., overly generous) and are working to have that corrected as soon as possible.--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:03, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Kasaragod, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 01:05, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the kind letter. The page on Kasaragod was created by the combined effort of many editors over a period of time. As I am familiar with the place, most of the material given are seen to be authentic. Please avoid removing large chunks of data as a lot of handwork by other editors can go wasted. But I appreciate your interest in Kasaragod and thank you for devoting time for this area. --Prof TPMS (talk) 01:10, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Prof TPMS. Following up from my earlier message, please stop introducing original research and other unsourced material to new Wikipedia articles. For example, please do not create content forks based upon the unsourced material at Perinthalmanna, as you did at Edcuation in Perinthalmanna (sic) and Tourism in Perinthalmanna. To be clear, you are welcome to create articles on these subjects, provided that there are ample reliable sources provided for your contributions. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 01:42, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Yamaguchi先生, I understand. I will include more references in future pages/edits.Regards, Prof TPMS (talk) 01:58, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Geographical Indications in India Edit-a-thon starts in 24 hours[edit]

Hello,

Thanks a lot for signing up as a participant in the Geographical Indications in India Edit-a-thon. We want to inform you that this edit-a-thon will start in next 24 hours or so (25 January 0:00 UTC). Here are a few handy tips:

  • ⓵ A resource section has been started, you may check it here.
  • ⓶ Report the articles you are creating and expanding. If a local event page has been created on your Wikipedia you may report it there, or you may report it on the Meta Wiki event page too. This is how you should add an article— go to the "participants" section where you have added you name, and beside that add the articles like this: Example (talk) (Articles: Article1, Article2, Article3, Article4). You don't need to update both on Meta and on your Wikipedia, update at any one place you want.
  • ⓷ If you are posting about this edit-a-thon- on Facebook or Twitter, you may use the hashtag #GIIND2016
  • ⓸ Do you have any question or comment? Do you want us to clarify something? Please ask it here.

Thank you and happy editing. Tito Dutta (talk) 21:43, 23 January 2016 (UTC) Yes, thank you Tito Dutta. Prof TPMS (talk) 21:44, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
