Hi Peter. I see you have twice added "Peter R. Lewis, Beautiful Railway Bridge of the Silvery Tay: Reinvestigating the Tay Bridge Disaster of 1879, Tempus, 2004, ISBN 0-7524-3160-9" to the Forth Bridge article. I wonder if you are familiar with WP:COI at all? --Guinnog 07:57, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that McKean's book is in the list of references. He wrongly attributes the Tay bridge disaster to derailment of the train, and I think Wikipedia should try to use the most recent references to achieve balance. I also added Koerte's book, which gives a good balanced account of the two bridges in their historical context. This is not a vanity exercise but an attempt to provide correct rather than misleadng information to users!

Thanks for that. All the same, it would be prudent to seek consensus in talk for such additions in future. --Guinnog 08:34, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
