"Land of Valencia"

Hello. There is a voting going on now in [1] Based in your opinion and others which I compiled, the matter seems to be close to a happy ending. You seem not active there lately but, if you see this one, you may be interested in having a quick look at the page and cast your vote there. Thanks again. Mountolive | Talk 18:46, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

p.s. actually, don't bother, man: the situation is as fucked up as ever. Thanks anyway Mountolive | Talk 02:04, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Your suspicions about D.O.D. were justified - good call. I've checked in Grove Music Online and added dates and places for births and deaths. And how about this - she died on St David's Day! Best wishes, Bencherlite 22:22, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

This article is still the subject of much controversy. If you could find time to look at it and perhaps make a contribution to the debate, it would be appreciated. Deb 14:49, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

New map

Can I bring your attention to the post I left at the bottom of Template talk:Infobox Place Ireland. I hope it helps somewhat. Jhamez84 18:28, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing this out, Jh. I've added my thoughts to that page. -- Picapica
Thanks for the rapid response! I've made some changes to the map, which can be seen at the aforementioned talk page. You may have to refresh your browser to see the changes once the page has loaded however. Jhamez84 23:08, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Cardiff - Shrewsbury train at Llandrindod station?

You seem to have added the text "Llandrindod railway station: a Cardiff - Shrewsbury train calls" along with a picture to Llandrindod railway station. AFAIK the service is only Swansea - Shrewsbury. Can you check and either correct or clarify (e.g. "A special Cardiff - Shrewsbury train ...")?

I'll get my anorak ....

--John Stumbles 13:20, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

The train leaves Cardiff at 8.09 on Mondays - Saturdays and reaches Llan'dod at 11.36 on its way to Shrewsbury. I know, I was ON that train and I caught it at Neath... :)
It is scheduled to run in those timings until at least mid-December 2007. -- Picapica 13:29, 14 April 2007 (UTC) (clad in his own anorak, despite today's temperatures!)

Salisbury

Hi, regarding your recent update to Salisbury. Do you have a source to support the alteration you've made? It seems a very high figure. Does it perhaps refer to the district of Salisbury rather than the city? Mallanox 22:35, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Mallanox. My source was [2], which I found as a follow-up to [3]. If you think that the figure I gave is misleading, in referring to the district rather than just the city proper, then of course (mea culpa) please change it back! -- Picapica 23:16, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok, that's a very interesting site. I am going to change it back, I thought about including both figures but the district population is given in Salisbury (district) so we really need to have the city-only population in the city article. Thanks, Mallanox 23:38, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

I've suggested this article can be merged into Marston Vale Line - see the discussion on the talk page. – Tivedshambo (talk) 17:34, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

My reply is at Talk:Network Rail route MD 140. -- Picapica 19:12, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

In respect of the data sources listed, you have read Oakley's (C) notes? ShakespeareFan00 19:30, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes. Which is why I haven't used his data. Does "reference" = "source of this article"? If so, I will remove it. The references were intended to be to concice sources of further information available. Milepost information is available in multiple sources. I am just trying to match it to the NR routes. -- Picapica 19:38, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Refences are source used in the article, You might want to include 'other' more detialed sources

under a heading of Further Reading, rather than under Ref.

BTW If you are using ATOC/NR documents check thier conditions, because some Railway doucments

still had the quaint 'Private - NFP' despite being all over the web :). ShakespeareFan00

Adding citations

I saw your note to SmackBot's owner. Take a look at Wikipedia:Footnotes, or let me know what citation you have for which article and I'll add it myself, so you can see at least one example of its use. Cheers! -- JHunterJ 13:54, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Dated cleanup tags

Hi, thanks for your message, SmackBot does not generally add tags, but merely dates those that are already there. Regards, Rich Farmbrough, 14:07 4 June 2007 (GMT). P.S. we've talked before, I believe.

Actually I didn't personally add the very detailed section at the bottom of the page but I do recognise it as a word-for-word "steal" from the book, "The History of Welsh Athletics". Delete the section for copyright? Topcardi 19:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Many apologies, Topcardi. That was an over-hasty scan of the article's history page on my part. You guessed correctly, though, that I was trying (perhaps over-gently) to nudge the contributor away from a straight lift. On proper examination, I see that it was from an anonymous address, so deletion looks like it is in order. (I have deleted my mistaken observation on your Talk page. Sorry again.) -- Picapica 20:00, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
