random variables[edit]
Hi Phli,
I think you don't fully understand the technical meaning of random variable. A random variable does not have to be "perfectly random" in the sense of "unbiased". In fact, it can take a single value with probability 1. See the article on random variables.

Hi Phli. I replied on my talk page to your recent question with random variables. But the short answer is that I don't know myself more about random variables than what is at Random variable. Meaning, a measurable function. I guess you are looking for an intuitive explanation for the term. Maybe you can post your question at talk:Random variable, and let us see what answers we get.
