I haven't noticed you around much lately, dear Phaedriel. Where for art thou? And what is this about wiki-exhaustion and you being considered for deletion, eh? -JacќяМ ¿Qué? 00:23, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

That deletion thing on her userpage is just a joke. Nothing taken serious. She is currently tried at the moment but will return to normal soon I hope :) King Lopez Contribs 09:47, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello, my friend; You’re on my mind,
Because you're somehow ailing,
But your response to any challenge

So I’m confident you’ll win again;
Hang in there, and you’ll see;
You’ll be back on top in no time,

Block on User:A.J.1.5.2.

Hello again. My colleague Alex is still blocked from editing after I was blocked last week (Pete Hurd believes we are the same person, and listed a whole lot of accounts that come from our shared IP). As he is a different editor to me (not a sockpuppet) and generally contributes in different areas of interest, can you please unblock his account? This will prevent him from creating another account, and hence probably attract more attention and accusations of sockpuppetry in the future. Regards R:128.40.76.3 11:28, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Some formatting matters that you might be able to help with...

Dear Phaedriel,

I've noticed your beautiful userpage designs and I thought you might be able to help me out with a rather annoying problem I'm happing with a certain page. It is a newsletter that is transcluded on talkpages with a portal format. In portals, the table of contents and section edit is disabled. However, when it is transcluded on a talkpage, it disables and as well. All my attempts at fixing this have been futile. I'd love if you could help me out!

Still interested in

Still interested in the Black Hawk War, I have seen a couple of your old comments on some of the battle pages. This subject has been a topic of vigorous research and expansion by me of late, we have raised 8 of 14 battle articles to GA so far. If you feel like taking a look around I have a collaboration page in my user space that might be useful to navigate some of the new content outside of the battle and main war articles. The pages are kind of construction zones, at least some of them, so don't mind the mess. Anything you have to offer as far as comments and/or edits would be appreciated. If this message is misdirected and mistaken in your interest in said topic please disregard. IvoShandor 01:50, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

I should also mention that I am undertaking a major reorganization of the main war article in my user space. This will correct what I see as major flow problems. IvoShandor 02:08, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

request

Hi Phaedriel, I don't want to be too much of a bother while you're on your semi-wikibreak (and don't I know how those are), but I have a request. Remember a while back I nominated some of my buddies for Awesome Wikipedian Days? I'd like to again request that István gets a Day sometime pretty soon. He's been going through some rough patches in real life and I think he could probably use a little cheering-up. Everything seemed like it was back to normal for a while, then he vanished again for over a week and sounded (to my over-sensitive perception anyway) a little grumpy when he briefly showed up again today. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I have the sneaking suspicion that maybe things have taken a downturn for him again. :( Anyway, even if I'm imagining things and he's doing fine, I think he still deserves the recognition--he's an outstanding editor as well as just a generally nifty person. :)

And if I may shamelessly meddle a bit, if you do award him a Day, I have another sneaking suspicion that the standard Bougereau-and-Bronte type of "theme" might be not entirely to his taste (er...wasn't to mine either, but I still appreciated it.) Maybe something more like Munkacsy and Petõfi! ;-)

Anyway, just a suggestion. Hope all is well! K. Lásztocska 02:36, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

It's such a shame that you're exhausted so much to be on Google Talk, so, to brighten your day and hopefully draw you back to the lovely place that we call the Wiki, here's a stellar rose to adequately say thanks for the love you give. back as promised

this could be your view

Remember User:R:128.40.76.3? Well, I'm tempted to not play so nice, so I'd like you (or some of the many people who visit this page) to take another look at his edits in the last some days. Consider the article Patrick DeMeyer which he has just created and which seems to have been deleted a number of times; consider that he may also be User:128.40.76.3 (and more?). And maybe take a look at what has been going on at Edward J. Steele. Thank, Jack Merridew 15:05, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Addendum: see the history of Peter L. Hurd; specifically the 20 or so edits from June 12-14, 2007 where edits by User:R:128.40.76.3, User:128.40.76.3 and User:A.J.1.5.2. interleave with gaps of mere minute (in one case, the same minute). My sense is that user is being deliberately provocative in his choices of articles, primarily people, to edit. --Jack Merridew 15:41, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

  • I think you find this is the case as we are four diffrent editors who were working on the same article at the same time. We share a common office (as explained before). Two of us have accounts, and two edit anon from our shared IP. I fail to see how I, or any of my collegues are breaching any of wikipedias policies in our choices of articles we focus our editing on. Complained to AN/I, Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#User:R:128.40.76.3 FWIW. Pete.Hurd 17:41, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Plus this pair of edits which don't appear to be justified by the "references" added. --Jack Merridew 09:41, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
hope you can find a moment to look into this... and hope all is well with you. Best, Jack Merridew 11:01, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

deletion of pagalguy

Heylo!

I just happened to bump across the page for Pagalguy and saw that it had been deleted by you. I believe the reason cited was "blatant publicity". I can quite believe that. I am currently employed with PaGaLGuY.com and would like to clear up the issue if possible.

We are a forum based community website which strongly believes in the knowledge of the people. (yeah I didn't use the term user-generated content) We've seen some tremendous growth in recent years. We've quite literally become the single most massive repository of all information concerning MBA in India. Most citations in Wikipedia on related articles are from PG (as we lovingly call it. heh)

We have a massive amount of traffic on our website. We generate 8 million page views per month, have a current userbase of over 140,000 people, with total posts numbering over 830,000. We've become quite pervasive in our own niche.

I would like to open a discussion about what would be the best way in setting up a page on PG at Wikipedia. Something that would not reek of corporate befuddlement or publicity. I've taken part in editing some stuff on India before, and believe me, I identify with the Wikipedia ideology. We work in a similar fashion on our website; always trying to present an unbiased perspective on issues relating to MBA in India/Abroad.

I hope I've been nice :)

Thanks StupiDeity 13:52, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

PaGaLGuY.com was deleted July 25, 2006. Pagalguy was deleted April 11, 2007 per WP:CSD#G11. However, WP:CSD#G4 would seem to apply as well. Pagalguy would need to have received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of Pagalguy to meet General notability guidelines. Material from such reliable sources may allow a page on PG to be set up on Wikipedia. -- Jreferee (Talk) 05:25, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
