What vandalism? Sources are provided and I added the official name of the church Pepoeko (talk) 20:53, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You removed sourced content in this edit, that constitutes vandalism. Mugsalot (talk) 00:57, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I did took a look on the source and couldn’t find the term Assyrian Apostolic Church. Once you can tell me where it uses that term you can let it stay.Pepoeko (talk) 02:50, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Pepoeko, I had provided the page number in the original edit, and, whilst it is not my responsibility to literally point out where it is in the book, as you evidently struggle with this basic task, please look at this link to the book in which the original name of the Syriac Orthodox Church is named as Assyrian Apostolic Church [1]. Mugsalot (talk) 08:36, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I still truly can not find the term ‘Assyrian Apostolic Church’ in the provided source. Furthermore you need to provide more sources to substantiate something as an informal name. We don’t know whether it’s going about a sect here or not. So please add more valid sources before your revert the edit!Pepoeko (talk) 10:36, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I evidently need to spell it out to you: 'the Syrian Orthodox Church (referred to as Jacobite and originally in English as Assyrian Apostolic)' (p. 3); 'By the early 1960s, all the Jacobite churches in the United States, previously bearing the official name ‘Assyrian Apostolic Church of Antioch’, had changed their names to ‘Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch’' (p. 232).
Again, here, you'll find: 'Jacobites: ‘‘followers’’ of Jacob Baradaeus, who was accused of monophysitism which was deemed heretical at the Council of Chalcedon in 451. The church was later called the Assyrian Apostolic (later Orthodox) Church of Antioch through the 1950s in the United States and at the close of that decade became Syrian Orthodox' (p. 408); 'In English, the initial name employed by the Jacobite Church of the United States as an ethnic, religious, and linguistic identity was the Assyrian Apostolic Church of Antioch' (p. 428). If you continue to revert this sourced and well attested evidence, I will report you for vandalism, as you have added nothing to Wikipedia thus far. Mugsalot (talk) 20:17, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
user:Mugsalot one source is not enough to proof the historical name of the page. Also your source mentions that the name exclusively used in the United States, it was not a wide accepted (common) name.Pepoeko (talk) 20:22, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Syriac Orthodox Church) for a period of 2 weeks for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:12, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Assyrian sect"? "Political agenda"?[edit]

You could have used the time during the partial block to edit unrelated areas of the encyclopedia, or to have a calm discussion on the article's talk page. After reading Special:Diff/992084663, I'm certain that a partial block is not the right tool to prevent further disruption. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 15:10, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi user:ToBeFree I actually was not aware of Wikipedia’s rules about not using personal attacks. I’m new to Wikipedia and still learning. I want to edit Wikipedia in an encyclopedic neutral way.. I hope actually that you’ll unblock me from editing because it wasn’t my intention at all to personal attack someone. Pepoeko (talk) 17:09, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Pepoeko (talk) 17:11, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the confirmation of the block reason. I have no opinion about the topic; assuming that I should have because of my place of birth or assumed current residence is extremely weird. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:00, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
