I have been trying to get this working all week, and i think that this may be working. I hope that the assignment was to post our signature on this page.

Where do we post our topics that we wish to edit? Where is our personal user page? Where is the message board to post our topics on? If we have trouble with this can we present our work in class?

Welcome[edit]

Hi Pcampolattano, and welcome to Wikipedia! I've written some advice for past students in a similar class at Longy School of Music which you might find helpful. You'll find it here. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page (User talk:Voceditenore), or place {{helpme}} here on your talk page, ask your question, and another editor will come along to help. You might also be interested in WikiProject Classical music, WikiProject Composers, and WikiProject Contemporary music. They have various guidelines for articles in this area and talk pages where you can ask advice from editors experienced in writing articles on classical music and related subjects. You'll find these guides particularly useful: WikiProject Composers: Guide to online research and WikiProject Composers: Copyright guidelines. Happy editing and best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 05:48, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting hints[edit]

Hi there. Me again. I took the liberty of formatting your user page for you so can see how wiki markup works. Just click the edit link and you'll see what I used. The most important thing to remember is that for a new paragraph/line, you have to hit the return twice. Otherwise everthing will appear on one continuous line. Also, don't indent the first line of paragraph, as this will cause the whole paragraph to appear as as single line inside a box

like this

To bold a a word or words, add ''' before and after what you want bolded or highlight it and click the B button in the editing bar. To start a section with a heading use: ==Section title==
