Top or not?
Hi. Either category is probably ok. It is just a mechanism for broadly splitting out the articles so editors can target the more significant ones that have been neglected. MRSC • Talk 06:30, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Just wanted to thanks for the B-class rating you awarded to West Bromwich Albion F.C.. When I first joined Wikipedia the article was extremely poor (IMO): it had lots of text but no images (apart from the club badge and kits), virtually no references, the history section was incredibly recentist and the layout very non-standard. I've done a quite a bit of work to try to bring it up to standard, so it's good to know that I'm getting there. There's still a long way to go in order to get to Featured Article status though, which is what I'd like to achieve ultimately. I have a good idea where most of the remaining weaknesses lie and am looking to address these, but if you have any particular observations having reviewed the article, I'd be really interested to hear from you. Netherlands
Thank you for setting up the task force, but please, please, the country is called the Netherlands, not Holland. Please see Netherlands#Naming conventions. Using Holland for the Netherlands is akin to using England for the UK. AecisBrievenbus 11:37, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I was fully involved in setting up the Italian taskforce. James Milner Career section

It's a very high-use, high-risk template. It's used on 20,428 pages, and frankly, it shouldn't be updated with a very high frequency. Without protection, it's a target of vandalism or poorly-written code; when the template is changed, all 20,428 pages must be re-cached, sometimes twice if edits are incorrect. Looking through the edit history, this has happened recently, when edits were made that caused whitespace to be added. Template sandboxes exist for this reason, to test new code before changing a high-use template. I hope that clarifies the situation. Cheers. --MZMcBride 22:11, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Absolutely. When you have new code to be added to a protected page, you use an {{editprotected}} request. On the template talk page, you put the code
{{editprotected}}near the requested change and it will add the page to Category:Wikipedia protected edit requests. Several admins keep an eye on that category, however, if you'd like assistance quicker, you can leave a note on my (or any other admin's) talk page. Just try to be sure that the code is accurate and that an admin can understand what you want to be done. Curious about the articles by quality statisitics box
I was wondering how to create an articles by quality statistics box like the one on the Football in USA/Canada task force: {{Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Football in the USA and Canada articles by quality statistics}}. I have recently created a task force on a different topic and would like to know how to link the task force tags into categories and statistics like you have done on the USA/Canada task force. I have modeled the design of the task force after the USA/Canada one, so however you were able to set it up will proably work on my project. I'd really like to know how to do it. Thank you so much! Notability of non-playing footballers (AfD:Paul Rodgers (footballer))
Hello! You contributed to AfD:Paul Rodgers by voting to keep him. As you may know, WP:FOOTY is currently working to finalize a Notability criteria. One of the points of the current suggestion that are still being debated is more or less a translation of AfD:Paul Rodgers. Quick question about WP:Football USA/Canada task force
I was wondering about the importance rankings for articles within the scope of the USA/Canada task force of WP:Football. Should the rankings reflect the article's importance to the entire WikiProject or just the task force? For instance, an article on D.C. United would be High or even Top if the ranking was only for the task force, but only Mid if the ranking is for all of WP:Football. To this point, I have treated all articles' importance as relative to the entire project, but the number that would be affected by a change is minimal. (Most articles are about little-known players who would be of Low importance regardless of the system used) TFCforever 00:37, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Cardiff and the 2012 Olympics
Cardiff International Sports Village won't be hosting events, I believe, but it will be used for training athletes. The Millenium Stadium on the other hand will host events. I'll find some sources shortly Welshleprechaun (talk) 17:55, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi I am not at all sure why you have so speedily redirected my List of people from Lewes, East Sussex without consulting me as to my motives. It isn't the same thing at all as the Category: as I said on my note when I began the list there are fifty names to be included. It is part of a rewrite of the Lewes article which I am undertaking to comply with [the Wiki recommended way of writing about settlements. I did a complete trawl of all the links to the town and came up with the fifty plus names of people with some connection with the town, few of which had been linked to the category. Since there are so many, it would be impossible to list them all on the main article and so, had you given me time, I should have noted as a link with a paragraph title Notable people from Lewes. I guess as it's open house there will always be these superfluous articles, and it's pretty difficult to take some sort of stand against them!
