Terry Goodkind[edit]

Good idea, I approve of the rv back to the version you've selected. If Mystar reverts the page back to his version more than 3 times, I will alert the administrators. Also, I'm currently looking into methods of dispute resolution, and I will start taking steps on the talk page towards putting an end to this edit war. Thanks for the help, though. I'm so tired to trying to reason with Mystar, he just doesn't understand or care about Wikipedia policies. - Runch 17:32, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think you should know that when I wrote on the talk page that Mystar "seems to be making slow but steady progress", all I really meant was that he hadn't gone on a ridiculous, drunken tirade in, oh, about 24 hours. (Sigh) It's so tiring trying to deal with him. Hopefully we can bring in a moderator and put a stop to this madness. Until then, courtesy is my armor on the TG talk page. - Runch 16:00, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Would you be willing to be a participant in a Offical Mediation in regards to Mystar and the Terry Goodkind / Sword of Truth articles? NeoFreak 16:42, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, though I suggest involving Omnilord as well; he appears to be an acquaintance if not a friend of mystar's who has come to his aid, but with some more tact and diplomacy. Paul Willocx 17:37, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've already taken the liberty of inviting him to particapate. NeoFreak 21:42, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mediation Notice[edit]

A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Terry Goodkind, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible. - Happy Editing, Runch 15:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Use short sentences and lists[edit]

Regarding this edit, [1], could you have a look at Wikipedia:Guide to writing better articles-Use short sentences and lists. Thanks, Addhoc 23:08, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You've requested clarification - the link shows you adding unnecessary words to a sentence, which is against the guidance of the Guide to writing better articles, "use short sentences means use only necessary words". Addhoc 13:55, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks for explaining and good luck with the mediation. Addhoc 15:57, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Sword of Truth WikiProject is now up and running. Thought you might like to know. It still has a long way to go before it'll look truly respectable, but it's a start. - Runch 18:54, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sick of Mystar[edit]

Hi Paul, I'm soliciting comments regarding Mystar, he's really pissing me off and I'm sick of it. I'm putting in a request for comments in a bit, in the mean time I'm soliciting people who've been pissed off by him in the past. If you're willing to have any input, I'm asking for help. Both people involved are scrutinized, so if there are comments where I've pissed you off or made stupid comments, I would also like those - they'll help me improve my conduct. I'm also posting this on other people's page, check my contribs for this chunk of time. WLU 22:54, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm sorry it's been awhile, and I'm not sure if all of you are still interested in formal mediation, but I recently agreed to mediate that case. Please either accept or reject me as a mediator there, and if you accept, please let me know if you would prefer public or private mediation. If it's a stale issue, just say so. Girija Vyas article[edit]

Hi Paul! I have removed the entire last section of the article as it was totally irrelevant political propaganda. I have also trimmed the remainder of the article and removed material in egregious violation of WP:BLP and added [citation needed] tags. Also I've marked the article as stub, perhaps someone can expand it. Bye! ReluctantPhilosopher (talk) 06:53, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, thanks. Guess I could've done as much myself, but I was a bit hesitant to throw it out entirely as I didn't know exactly how relevant or irrelevant it was. Oh well. Paul Willocx (talk) 18:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Creatures in The Sword of Truth[edit]

I have nominated Creatures in The Sword of Truth, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Creatures in The Sword of Truth. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. An Invite to join Novels WikiProject[edit]

Hi, you are cordially invited to join the Novels WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to fiction books often referred to as "Novels". We make no length distinction so all narrative prose fiction is of interest. This includes Novels, novellas, novelettes and short stories. Articles about the works themselves and the forms and genres.

As you have shown an interest in Steven Erikson we thought you might like to take an interest in this well established WikiProject.
You might like to take an extra interest in our Fantasy task force
We look forward to welcoming you to the project! Alan16 (talk) 18:04, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
