Misspelling of "impostor" you made 13 years, 3 months and 7 days ago

The backstory

On this fateful day, you posted an edit to the Wikipedia page of Mary Toft which added over 20,000 bytes of data to the page, but in this edit you mention that Toft had been charged as being a "vile cheat and imposter." This one word, this one misspelling which you might not consider an issue or even wrong at all, has survived in the cracks and the depths of Wikipedia for 13 years. This is far too long for a spelling mistake to last on this website, so I am proud to say that I have finally culled this plague of your creation.

Why I now feel the need to correct this wrongdoing

In my escapades of procrastination, I came across the featured article of Mary Toft under the notorious list of unusual articles, and whilst reading through the interesting story, I came across the word impostor being used, and of course this stimulates my monkey brain. I notice, however, that the spelling of impostor was a bit uncanny, and it wasn't just me - it was spelled as spelt in meme culture, with an e instead of the second o. This is of course illegal on Wikipedia, and because the number of edits is all you are worth on this page, I quickly got to verifying the mistake.

The results

On the citations next to this mistake, three authors are mentioned, of which only Seligman matters. On page 356 on his article, the quote is mentioned as being spelled as impostor, different to how you had spelled your line in the Toft page. I then took to the Google Ngram viewer to see if in any corpus would the word imposter be favoured over impostor, and all efforts were fruitless, leading me to the conclusion that you had made this erroneous decision, and not Seligman.

In conclusion

The steaks have never been higher.

By the time you have finished reading this message, your despicable actions will have been rectified and swept under the rug with nobody else in the world wiser to the horrors committed by none other by you. I expect within the next 14 days a sincere apology for your wrongdoing on my talk page, or else I will pursue further charges or perhaps dig up worse crimes you have committed against humanity.
