Fair use rationale for Image:Live.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Live.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Speedy deletion of The Judy Room[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Judy Room requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

September 2015[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Judy Garland. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Despite the repeated removals of the link you've been adding you've persisted in adding it. It was there for years because you added it, on several occasions, as you did to other articles. It was deleted because The Judy Room is a fan site that doesn't supplement the Wikipedia article as a source of information about Garland so much as it acts as a sales portal for Garland memorabilia, complete with affiliate identifiers in the links. —Largo Plazo (talk) 21:49, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Did the rules change? The link was put there a long time ago. The site is an information site that provides additional details and information about her life and career - it's used by many as a research tool. Linking to it gives people the chance to find out more information about her life and career. It's not a sales site at all. I have links to Amazon for people to purchase items they're reading about, but that's it. It's less a sales site than The Judy Garland Museum, which is still linked. They would be considered for profit more than I would ever be with my Amazon links. It doesn't make sense that the link is suddenly removed after all this time, it certainly wasn't hindering anything.Ozianscott (talk) 14:17, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Judy Garland Decca albums[edit]

Hello, I saw your recent edits in Judy Garland Discography and I would like to ask in what you based to say that the Decca albums of Judy like The Wizard of Oz, Girl Crazy and Meet Me in St. Louis are not soundtrack albums? Why definition are you using to say that? Even the album Glitter by Mariah Carey is considered a soundtrack album. I definitely didn't understand what you did in that article. You didn't give me much time to respond before changing the edits back. The Decca Records albums are comprised of studio recordings made at the Decca Records studios. Soundtrack albums are comprised of songs/scoring prerecorded and used in films. The Decca albums are, and have always been known as, studio albums. The first soundtrack album ever released was 1947's "Till The Clouds Roll By" released by MGM Records. It is historically known as the first soundtrack album ever released.

The confusion over the Decca albums is common but they are, in fact, studio albums and have never even been promoted or listed as soundtracks.
