I am citing UC Berkeley affiliated academics.

I would like to begin writing an article on Billy Curtis a UC Berkeley faculty member. A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Jeremy Bamidele, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Appears to be an accidental page created in Wikipedia space

Hi[edit]

I seem to be several steps behind you today... and see you left a note and then deleted the entries on your talk page. I am happy to help you work on an article - and help identify someone to write about. Is it something you need to do tonight?--CaroleHenson (talk) 03:24, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Are you wanting to work on an article on Billy Curtis?

Yes, but I skipped him. I'm currently on Steven Fish. There was a name conflict with Billy Curtis.Orujah123 (talk) 05:04, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jeremy Bamidele requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Conflict of interest again[edit]

What happened to your statement yesterday that "Furthermore, I will no longer make edits concerning Jeremy Bamidele."? You have since created an article about Bamidele in mainspace, made 70 edits to it and to the discussion of it, and uploaded a passport photo of Bamidele as your "own work".

If you are Jeremy Bamidele you should not be making these edits and are advised to "provide full disclosure of the connection if you comment about the article on talk pages or in other discussions", per WP:COISELF. --McGeddon (talk) 08:40, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

CaroleHenson was extremely nice to you, because she's a nice person. However, there are limits to how nice we all can be. Our COI guidelines are clear that you cannot create an article about yourself, but rather must submit it for review. Moving it it to article space was disruptive of you. Further, you then proceeded to essentially attack Carole for following our policies. Having looked over what you had in the draft, it's fairly clear that if the subject was actually notable you wouldn't have trouble proving it, but if that's impossible then the bio does not belong in Wikipedia. I hope you have the common sense to stop at this point, and come back to write this when and if the subject actually meets WP:BIO. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 16:36, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation (returned from talk history)[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Orujah123, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Yay! Thank you so much. I'll refrain from editing until I get a mentor. I've messaged a potential adoptee. Hopefully they take me.

I added the following to the Sockpuppet investigation for this account:
  • "Comment - another user account" - It appears that the user, who has been trying to get the Jeremy Bamidele article created has created the article under a new user name User:EZRASExy. This was discussed at this discussion, this discussion, and the two most recent entries here. The Jeremy Bamidele article was deleted today and the most recent edited version was restored in Draft:Jeremy Bamidele today - meaning that it had to have been copied by someone who copied it before deletion.--CaroleHenson (talk) 21:11, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Steven Fish, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:36, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
