Image copyrights[edit]

Of the varioius Talend related images you've recently uploaded, you've indicated that you are the creator of these ones:

However, these images appear to be taken from straight from the Talend website [1], which are protected by copyright. If you did not create this images, you cannot release them into the public domain, and they should be deleted. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 13:38, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This images appear on the website [2], they are screenshot of a open source tools, they are into the public domain! I work actually to Talend, i can assure you to the exactitude of this comment. Ocarbone (talk) 14:38, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure if your logic is valid for fair use of these images according to WP's image use policy. I've asked for other editors to help. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 15:33, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank's to this reaction. Ocarbone (talk) 15:38, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback given here seems to conclude that these images should be licensed with the {{GPL}} and {{Free screenshot}} tags. I'll change them. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 18:14, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Talend Open Studio[edit]

You have recently re-created the article Talend Open Studio, which was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not re-create the article. If you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a deletion review. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 15:39, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but i don't understand your comment. You have posted this morning a comment on this article indicating "rewrite article is required" ... i did rewrite this and posted the new version (without advert, only information) this afternoon. So i don't understand why this article was already considered as deleted whereas, the only comment I got was to rewrite it. Was your comment to be considered straight away as a deletion of the article?

How can i publish an article about Talend as the following software companies were allowed to do?

Note that most of them are even proprietary products... Please supply me with the procedure to follow to be allowed to publish article on en.wikipedia.org!

With regards, --Ocarbone (talk) 16:39, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You can view the general guidelines for product notability here, but the larger concern here is that since you're an employee of this company, and the only contributions you've made to Wikipedia are about this company/software, WP:VANITY and WP:SPAM also must be adhered to. Further, while the first version of this article was little more than advertising and appeared to be cut/paste from marketing materials, the last version you attempted to make was little more than external links - neither of which are appropriate encyclopedia entries on a topic. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 16:29, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your explanations, I understands the removal of the article includes that I had published. I must specify that I have by the past contributed in an anonymous user to wikipedia. To evoked the compagny for which I currently work, I created my account by specifying my identity. I read the guideline and I am aware that the fact that I belong to Talend is not an ideal situation to evoke Talend in wikipedia. But I think that an article on the ETL tools which does not speak about Talend is incomplete. I propose to take to it time to write an informative article on Talend Open Studio and to subject it again to you. What propose to me? To create an article directly or to propose the text in the discussion part of the article ETL

First, it is not me that you need to submit an article to. Wikipedia is a collaborative community, and it is the community that determines what articles persist. Indeed, I didn't delete your contributions, but merely suggested they should be deleted. Someone else from the community made that further decision.
Help for creating good articles can be found at Wikipedia:Your first article or Help:Starting a new page. You can also request someone else create the article (give the possible conflict of interest) at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 08:38, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
