1958 cut off[edit]
1958 was chosen because it it close to 50 years. The 59 and 60 full size passenger cars shared a body and the introduction of the Corvair in 1960 was the start (aside from the Corvette in `53) of the model proliferation that included the Chevy II, Chevelle, Camaro, and by 1970, the Monte Carlo. The follow-up article could cover 1959 to 1970.
