Do not post personal details - yours, or anyone else's - on Wikipedia. If you do so again you will be blocked from editing. Please read the guidance for younger editors before contributing here again. Yunshui  10:56, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry if I came across rather forcefully above, but the fact is that Wikipedia is a very unsafe place to post information about yourself, especially if you're still in school. As long as you don't do so again in future, you should be fine. Have a look at the tutorial for more information about how you can contribute here - or you might like to try the Wikipedia Adventure, which will teach you how to edit in about half-an-hour. Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia. This is in answer to your request at WP:REFUND. I am not going to restore your page about yourself, because Wikipedia is not a place like Facebook or Myspace for people to write about themselves and their friends. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU.

It is very important that you should read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors, particularly the section headed "Your safety and security."

You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction or, as Yunshui suggests, try the Wikipedia Adventure. JohnCD (talk) 14:16, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You asked on my talk page why Wikipedia is unsafe to post your details. It's not that Wikipedia is particularly unsafe, but the Internet in general is not a safe place, there are some bad people about, and if you give details like your name and age and address where anyone can read them, they could find you in real life and might even harm you. You should discuss this with your parents and ask them to read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors and Wikipedia:Child protection/safety measures. JohnCD (talk) 20:37, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
