Niohe is a coward and a simpleton who lives in a basement — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.119.128.141 (talk) 16:10, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed my password to one that I can't remember, so when I log out from here, it is for good. I have grown increasingly disgusted with the way things work here at Wikipedia, and what I have experienced myself and seen happen that last couple of weeks has convinced me that continuing on this project is a complete waste of time. While there are sounds policies and guidelines in place, the only thing that seems to matter at the end of the day is the amount of loud voices and fast-shooters that you can muster for your cause. That is what is called consensus here. I can no longer continue being an active editor here. I will use Wikipedia for reference and I wish everybody the best of luck, but this project no longer needs me. Good bye.

That's ok. You can always edit anonymously or sign up for another account. See you around. Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 22:31, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Come on, no need to get depressed. Wiki doesn't need you, the world doesn't need you; in fact they don't need any of us. The world will keep spinning without any of us. Just enjoy life and let the world take care of itself.

Niohe, a statement like "this project no longer needs me" simply not true. Of course we need you. Check your email. Khoikhoi 04:03, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh no! Please come back! I was just going about to ask you to look over Forbidden City...
Wikipedia needs you. --Sumple (Talk) 04:28, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User talk page semi-protection[edit]

Hi. Your user talk page was previously semi-protected. When you moved it to User talk:Niohe/Archive 3, the semi-protection followed; as a result, User talk:Niohe/Archive 3 is now protected while User talk:Niohe is not. If this was unintended, you may wish to request unprotection of the subpage and re-protection of your user talk page. Thanks – Gurch 19:15, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Niohe,

I see you basically wrote the article on the Court of Colonial Affairs. I think it was also you who added a Mongolian name, which (if I am not mistaken) translates to "Office for Outer Mongolian affairs". Now most Mongolia-related literature I have seen calls the office "Office for affairs of the Outer territories" or something similar, and also the Chinese version of the name (not sure about the Manchu one) doesn't seem to contain any reference to Outer Mongolia. Am I missing something, or is there something wrong with the Mongolian name? Yaan 18:28, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Beijing[edit]

Hey Niohe! I'm currently planning the launch of the WikiProject Beijing, depending on if enough other editors would be interested in such a project. I saw you have edited the main Beijing page recently or in several times in the past and therefor might be interested. If you are, please sign: User:Poeloq/WikiProject_Beijing. As I am posting this to quite a few editors, I am not watching your page and would ask you to reply with any comment or questions on my talk page. Cheers, Poeloq (talk) 21:32, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
