Edit warring at Zack Hample

Hello Nemov. You've been warned as the result of a complaint at the edit warring noticeboard. You may be blocked if you revert the article again without getting a prior consensus on the article talk page. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 03:46, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

@EdJohnston:What rule did I violate to receive a warning? I have addressed the user's talk page, the article talk page, and I have been careful to avoid multiple revisions. I have requested a third party to assist build consensus, but the user continues to make disruptive edits anyway.- Nemov (talk) 04:28, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
Nobody is entitled to keep reverting forever. If you are the only one willing to discuss, you will eventually get some help at the admin boards. EdJohnston (talk) 05:33, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

User talk:Davefelmer

Since he doesn't seem inclined to raise the issue at WT:BASEBALL, this probably needs raised there anyway. I'm trying to stay out contentious issues, for obvious reasons :) , so I won't do it myself. It does seem to me that simply changing the wording of the section title in the Infobox would solve his issue, but only if there's a consensus to do it. Personally, I don't think it needs to be changed, but whatever :) - BilCat (talk) 17:51, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

I got the sense based on the user's edit history that the person may not understand baseball? You are right about the infobox though so I can kind of understand the user's issue there. That box should probably be named something else. I'll raise the question at WT:BASEBALL. - Nemov (talk) 17:58, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
I got that sense too. And honestly, the label is minor, but including the division and wildcard is standard in the Big 4 infoboxes, and they should remain. He apparently doesn't understand that part of American/Canadian sports culture. - BilCat (talk) 18:05, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
I added a section over at WT:BASEBALL. I can't imagine there will be much motivation to change it. Maybe the user will relent. This is the 3rd or 4th time that user has made these changes. Thanks for the suggestion. - Nemov (talk) 18:13, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

Zack Hample

I took a long look at Yankees999's edits. There's a good chance that's Zack Hample himself. He uploaded the picture to Commons, and as justification for it being free of copyright, stated "because Zack hample on his website". His edit attempting to removed the "banned from 3 stadiums" bit was around the same week that Hample's Twitter account was campaigning to have it removed. Anyway, I submitted the picture for deletion due to the copyright issue. You can see that here.

You could be right, but I lean no based on a couple of the edits during the Fort Bragg fiasco. Also, I'm pretty sure the user Yellow lights who made edits in the past was Hample and both accounts were active at the same time. Might have been a sock puppet thought. Nemov (talk) 12:23, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
Wow, good call on the Yellow lights user. I missed that one. That's absolutely Hample, based on the edits made to his article and his father's article, and adding unsourced stuff to Stoo Hample that probably no one else would have known. Also the edit to Arkanoid that added his own self as a world record holder. Nice catch. JimKaatFan (talk) 16:07, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
