August 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Day of Ashura, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. An earlier revision of your talk page suggests you are working on behalf of the travel agency for which you have added external links. Gyrofrog (talk) 14:30, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. (http://www.ashura.com/thm_c.html) Gyrofrog (talk) 14:34, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Persian-gulf-kish-iran-wegoiran.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Persian-gulf-kish-iran-wegoiran.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Acather96 (talk) 14:03, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Tourism in Iran. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
