HAPPY HELP

Use Spaces
Spaces usually come after punctuation marks.
Instead of this:
  • I like bunnies(rabbits).They are not only cute,but friendly too.
Try this:
  • I like bunnies (rabbits). They are not only cute, but friendly too.

Protect Your Article
1. Putting lots and lots of references into your article protects it from being deleted.
2. Put references in your article like this example:
Rabbits are cute.<ref>http://www.about-rabbits.com</ref>
3. Add this to the bottom of the article:
==References==
{{reflist}}
4. Don't use Baidu.baike, Hudong, Tianya and sites that are not professionally written.
5. Write in your own words. Just the facts. Don't copy and paste.
6. Make your article style like other articles.

A tag has been placed on Nantong new Hongqiao country requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. intelatitalk 16:05, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Status and Advice[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I didn't immediately delete it. But some major improvements are needed, or it will have to be deleted. I've marked it for a slower deletion process that will give you 7 days to fix it.

1. do you have any references? If so, add them. References in Chinese are fine. But if you have none at all, it is not possible to write an article on this topic.

2. For a Wikipedia article, it's necessary to state only facts, facts that can be proven by references. Saying it's a nice place to live, is opinion, not facts. We don't do that here.

3. In any case, it is not clear from the article just what the place is,and where it is. Is it a group of buildings in which people live, or is it the name of a part of the county? It isn't clear what is "new Hongqiao county" Does this mean a newly constructed place in Hongqiao County, or a new part or section of the County? What is it called in Chinese?

If you think you can write an article about it in this way, improve it. If you think you can't , ask your instructor for help in picking another topic. DGG ( talk ) 19:50, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Teaching Chinese as a foreign language[edit]

Hello, I noticed that an article you wrote Teaching Chinese as a foreign language was deleted without explanation to you. Although the topic sounds useful for an encyclopedia (we have Teaching English as a foreign language) your content was a justification essay for why you have the subject at your university and not an informative article. There is already an article titled Chinese as a foreign language on this subject, so there is no need to write a new one. I will redirect your title to this article. Also I will let you know that we do not put contact email addresses in articles. If you really want to do that you can put your email address on your userpage, but I recommend against it, as you will receive spam. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:21, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your article[edit]

Han Xu, I appreciate your efforts, but rather than just replacing deleted materials, you ought to be improving the article. For one thing, you need to demonstrate the importance of this person. Does he meet these criteria? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(academics)#Criteria What is his full title? Professor? Assistant Professor? What makes him more notable for people outside NNU than an ordinary instructor? Good luck! Njnu-ban-xueshenghao (talk) 05:56, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

yes,and it would help to actually include the titles and publication details of his most important articles. (I assume they are in Chinese--give an English translation of the title as well) It is especially important to list any that are published elsewhere than in the journal of his own university. I try to defend all defensible articles on faculty, but I'd have some problems with this. Normally, faculty in the humanities who are notable have written either several books, or at least many widely cited articles. In the US & I think Europe, senior humanities appointments are not made in the best universities without that much. The standards for notability as a scholar here are world-wide, not country by country DGG ( talk ) 22:36, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
