Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Jewish meditation. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Please also read WP:RS about reliable sources on Wikipedia, the given source (linking to a sales site) was inappropriate for an encyclopedia. GermanJoe (talk) 12:07, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Thanks. This was my first time editing on Wikipedia and I'm sorry that I may have made some mistakes. I had read the Neutral Point of View article prior to making my first edit, and the edits were designed to establish a more neutral point of view than was previously on the page. Rather than reverting the entire edit, please let me know what in particular should be changed. I can't find any sales site that I linked to, and I would appreciate you letting me know where you see the error. I have some expertise in the topic at hand, which is why I thought it appropriate to make the edits that I did, but I did not seek to advance any particular non-neutral point of view.

You can see how I tried to remove a non-neutral point of view in the first paragraph, which had read:

"The accurate traditional Hebrew term for meditation is Hitbodedut/Hisbodedus (literally self "seclusion"), while the more limited term Hitbonenut/Hisbonenus ("contemplation") describes the conceptually directed intellectual method of meditation."

That is a non-neutral and unsubstantiated point of view which reflects a particular Hasidic understanding of meditation. I have replaced it with this more neutral sentence:

"Hebrew terms for meditation include Hitbodedut/Hisbodedus (literally self "seclusion") or Hitbonenut/Hisbonenus ("contemplation")."
