WP:IMOS

As I am sure you are aware Ireland was part of the Union at the time of Lewis's; it was not seperate. I have not removed the link to him being born in Ireland and have therefore not infringed upon WP:IMOS. Your edit removes the link to the political Union that Ireland was once part of and therefore limits the usefulness of the page to those who are not 'clued-up' on British and Irish history and politics. There is no comment whatsoever in the guidline that says that we should not link articles to the political entities in which individuals are born. Mark Twain's birthplace is listed as "Florida, Missouri, U.S.", Daniel O'Connell's links to the "Kingdom of Ireland"; and there are hundreds more examples like these ones. In this case, the Wikipedia Guidelines does not make any reference to the kind of edit I have made to C.S. Lewis's page, nor do the guidelines support your removal of that very edit. My addition adds to the usefulness of the page itself to users while at the same time does not infringe upon the community agreed guidelines for that related topic.

Citizenship and Nationality are exactly the same in any context, they both refer to the issue of whether you are part of a particular state or not. I have made those edits on every article I have come across that insists on the utilisation of the phrase "nationality"; that is not an example of WP:NOTHERE, that is simply a correction. Inappropriate reversions

You deleted significant additions to the article in your reversion, and that is not appropriate. Moreover, there was not "consensus" to use English names. There was not enough discussion to observe "consensus". I agree that there should be more discussion. Please stop picking on Westport and Cathair na Mart. There were plenty of other English and non-English names on that particular page (where is Kemper?), and your reversions belie your own bias here, but you are not being thorough: You are only changing the names of a few books published in one place in Ireland. That is neither polite nor encyclopaedic. Will you agree that this is an issue for the Wikipedia as a whole, and agree that we should together try to achieve actual consensus on this question? In the meantime unless you are going to go clean up EVERY bibliography on the whole WIkipedia perhaps you could agree to leave this one alone until actual discussion and consensus is achieved. And I from you, considering you where one of the first editors I asked thier opinion of on here. I didnt assume bad faith, between yourself and Dubs boy, a misrepresntation of WP:IMOS and WP:MOS has been used to add Republic of Ireland through-out the article. If a list contains states, ie US and Canada, it should not contain regions ie England and NI, its in MOS when I have more time I will give the link to the section bud. As for context use of Ireland, this was well discussed on IMOS after Factocop edited on Odeon cinema, and is the exact same on the Hib article. I did nothing wrong. Canterbuty Tail did a partial revert of Dubs boy as he agreed with them that Dubs boy was right in regards to IMOS and looking at it he was after I disagreed with him at the start. The fact only one instance of it was argued over and altered by Dubs boy I found perplexing and made a note of on the articles talk page for the article contained quite a lot of what where thus violations of IMOS that needed amended not just the infobox entry. Thus for consistency I fixed them all for we can't say Republic of Ireland in one instance and Ireland in every other one as it creates confusion between state and island.

I'm sure you noticed I originally tried to "angle" (to use your terminology) the article so that Ireland could be used with only the UK being used for places in England and Northern Ireland.

In regards to constituent country or sovereign state, for now I will take the experienced viewpoint of the administrator Canterbury Tail in regards to matters of MOS and IMOS, until I'm pointed out otherwise. Mabuska ^(talk) 22:55, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

I agree, the edit Canterbury Tails made to the lead was correct, but the changing en-masse of the style of list and infobox are both against the consensus/norm for these. Hello again Murry1975! re. your edits to the Stephanie Roche article - there is no blanket ban on using tabloid sources in BLPs. WP:BLPSOURCES says "Material should not be added to an article when the only sourcing is tabloid journalism" which isn't quite the same thing. Now that there is another broadsheet source supporting the material I don't think it is necessary to remove the Daily Mirror interview. deletion of Back2Basics

Is see the page relating to my radio show was deleted before I had a chance to add insight which is relevant to my case for reinstatement. Mark erroneously called the show a regional one due to the fact that FM frequencies of stations it airs a regional. However, the majority of our listeners are international and through a very successful podcast of the show which is listened to through iTunes.

We've just hit 100,000 listeners per show on iTunes, which makes us one of the biggest dance music shows in the Ireland by listenership. These listeners are worldwide, therefore, we do not see us as a 'regional radio' as outlined in the deletion log. These numbers do not include our live listeners, which we have all over the country and the world via the webfeeds for both the radio stations we feature on. PodBean has this week notified us that is has now made us a featured PodCast and will promote the show in their music category. We've also had a number of national exclusives, such a Nile Rodgers from Chic and LA duo Classixx's first ever Irish interview. I am in the process of undertaking some media coverage in relation to out 100k figures and Podbean announcement, which I hope will help boost our adherence to notability guidelines and increase the references in the article. We are an international radio show that just happens to air on FM locally in Dublin, but most of our listeners are outside Ireland with the US and UK been the most common location. Also WP:COI, conflict of interest- you as a presenter should not be editing an article to do with yourself- your own article on here or the B2B one. It was a soft delete, adding the information to back the statements in the article would be good, but remember this is an encyclopedia not a newspaper or essay, and should only state clear unbiased referenced facts, not open statements and remarks, see WP:PUFF and WP:WEASEL WORDS. I personally don't understand why none of this persons accounts have been blocked? The proof is there that they have opened several Wiki account with the same requests to remove referenced facts, and are actively trying to get the references removed from the internet. It seems they made a request recently somewhere other than the talk page of the article, which resulted in someone removing the text yesterday without checking the hstory of the article - they must have made yet another account to do that.
