Article feedback[edit]

@Mrubin1996, Ejproject, and Climatechang: Your Organophosphate Pesticides Effect on Women's Health article has potential, but it needs some important changes.

The Organophosphate article already exists, an importantly, the Organophosphate#Health_effects section exists. Your article shouldn't duplicate content already in that article. It also shouldn't include too much general content - if you have information about organophosphate effects that aren't specific to women, you need to use that information to expand the organophosphate article. You can certainly briefly summarize that information over here, but there should not be extensive duplication between the two articles.

What you need to look at here is information that's specific to women. How is the effect of organophosphates different on women? Obviously there's the section you added on the effects on the luteal cells. So physiological differences are important. But there are also going to be differences based on the roles women play, and differential access to healthcare (to pick an example).

You should also bear in mind that both the scope and the readership of this article is going to be international, so don't only focus on the developed world. Also don't assume that people will have the same set of cultural references that you do. For example, you wrote: "a San Francisco judge ruled..." While the city in California is easily the best-known San Francisco, it isn't the only one; see San Francisco (disambiguation). Add some details - "San Francisco, California" is always better. Just saying "a federal judge" is vague - why not say "U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria"; better yet, link Vince Chhabria.

Finally, if you want to write about glyphosate, be very careful. The cancer claims, for example, have not been upheld by other regulators (including European regulators this past week). Don't ignore the minority position, but don't present it as if it were the majority position. Make sure people are aware of the wider circumstance. The article Organophosphate Pesticides Effect on Women's Health has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

POV fork -- health issues (children, women, and men) are discussed at Organophosphate#Health effects.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – S.
