The article Yasubey Enomoto has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Zak Cummings requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. -- Ice (talk) 05:29, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Bobby Voelker has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

A tag has been placed on Fight Festival requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Terrillja talk 14:58, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Terrillja talk 15:01, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mountaineer[edit]

Hello Mountaineer. I've been informed of the latest developments involving you tonight. I'm here to provide some sort of answers if you have any questions, considering that I'm heavily involved in the MMA project here on wikipedia. I believe that an article of yours was speedily deleted today and that you recreated it. While your efforts to provide new articles are very much appreciated, the blanking of deletion templates is considered bad faith and can unfortunately lead to temporarily blocks of editing, should that behaviour carry on.

For what it is worth, I think you're doing a good job, as there are some people, like Bobby Voelker who warrant articles; but I'd like to just give you a couple of pointers with your creations.

  • At present, a few of your creations only have 1/2 line intros and nothing else. Ideally, we need to fill in some detail with sources for two reasons.
    • If we wanted to just see a fighter record, we'd go to sherdog's database. People would come to wikipedia to read about the fighter, which is why we should write about their past fights, background etc.
    • Secondly, anything that isn't sourced could be misconstrued as original research that isn't verifiable. As such, some articles can be deleted if they are missing sources.

I hope this hasn't been too long that you've lost interest; I just hope that you can co-operate with people instead of keeping silent on us. If you have any questions, just leave a reply below and I'll try to get back to you. I'm willing to help you out should you want that. Paralympiakos (talk) 23:51, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Shamar Bailey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Hi Mountaineer1976... I have added a response to the CSD tag at Talk:Fight Festival#CSD Tag. I don't think this article should be deleted under CSD#A7, and I hope that what I have written is more than enough to ensure that any admin would decline such a request. I'm disappointed to see you have been having a hard time here at wikipedia, and that you haven't been met with more friendliness. Let me assure you that content contributions are welcomed and appreciated, so please don't get too discouraged. I know that Paralympiakos is willing to give you some help if you need it, and you can also contract me if you like at my talk page. Kind Regards, EdChem (talk) 16:23, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to Fight Festival has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Terrillja talk 17:07, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hi, and thanks for writing all of these MMA articles! They're looking pretty good so far. Like EdChem, I think if you flesh out the existing articles a little before starting new ones, you'll have less of a problem with them being proposed for deletion. Wikipedia is extra-strict about biographies of living people, and that is mainly what you're writing, so it's probably a good idea to play things on the safe side. I recommend starting by reading Wikipedia:Citing sources, and Wikipedia:Verifiability. If you stick to those two, you shouldn't have any more trouble. All the best! The article Fight Festival 27 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable event stub with only one citation.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
