May 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Kay Burley. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Deleting well over half the content of a stable article is a contentious edit. Please discuss your concerns on the article's talk page first. Exok (talk) 23:42, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No having a criticism section that is more than half the size of the BLP article is giving undue weight to that aspect of someone's career. Especially when the edits I removed had no references detailing critical coverage in reliable sources. Morefoolhim (talk) 23:47, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There is no content guideline mandating the due proportions of BLP articles. Your edit summaries allege a lack of sources but the four paragraphs you deleted include ten different sources. It is unlikely you have identified a problem justifying such wholesale deletions that other editors have missed, but having been reverted the right response is to make your argument on the article's talk page then everyone can work together to consider your concerns.Exok (talk) 23:55, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For the criticism to be notable it has to have been covered in reliable third party sources, otherwise you could add anything to that section and claim it is criticism of the subject. This is obviously a BLP issue, everything on a BLP has to be well referenced especially anything calling itself criticism. Morefoolhim (talk) 23:59, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
