Multiple Accounts[edit]

Stop icon It has been found that you have been using one or more accounts abusively or have edited logged out to avoid scrutiny. Please review the policy on acceptable alternate accounts. In short, alternate accounts or people to support you should not be used for the purposes of deceiving others into seeing more support for your position. It is not acceptable to use two accounts on the same article, or the same topic area, unless they are publically and plainly disclosed on both your and the other account's userpage.

Your other account(s) have been blocked indefinitely. This is your only warning. If you repeat this behaviour you will blocked from editing without further notice. Thank you. Mike VTalk 02:18, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Jordon Hodges 2017 Actor on set The Shade Shepherd.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jordon Hodges 2017 Actor on set The Shade Shepherd.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Train2104 (t • c) 23:53, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Goshen, Indiana, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Being on a notable people's list requires two things. Verifiable notability, which is satisfied by having a biographical article on the person on Wikipedia. Second, a verifiable tie to the subject of the article containing the list is required. There are no sources in the individual's biography connecting him to Goshen...just an unreferenced claim. That claim should be removed from his bio and a reliable secondary source for his tie to Goshen is required here. John from Idegon (talk) 16:28, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking care of that. Sources are the backbone of Wikipedia. We do not even allow references to Wikipedia on Wikipedia. It isn't an issue of accuracy; it's because of the dynamic nature of a document anyone can edit at any time. We've grown by leaps and bounds to a level I doubt Jimbo or the other early editors that composed our basic rules ever anticipated. It's virtually unchallengable that Wikipedia is the #1 source of information in the entire world. Just English Wikipedia alone (not counting Commons, Wictionary, Wikivoyage, or any other language version of Wikipedia) is the fourth most accessed website in the entire world. Editing here is fun, as it should be; but it also has responsibilities. Please cite everything you add that could possibly ever be doubted, misconstrued or contested (and everything that makes the subject of the article sound good, or bad). I'm glad to see you are using citation templates, but you may notice that I edited the one you added to the person in question here's biography. You cited TV news. You should have used a cite news template as that has a place for the author's name. The more info you add to a citation template, the better the chances of finding an archival version if the originating website takes it down. Thanks for being here. Your contributions, and the fact you realize that just because I reverted you does not mean I am your enemy, are both appreciated. I am nowhere near there now, but I spent most of my life in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. If I can ever help with anything, feel free to drop me a note. This is a collaborative endeavor. Collegiality is always appreciated. Thanks. John from Idegon (talk) 04:06, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
