I cleared WP:AIV with a comment you may wish to re-read: User:Ceid_family not warned, so can't expect them to stop.. At no point did I say "his actions do not warrent a block" and I'd prefer it if you withdrew that allegation.

As we say clearly on the AIV page: Users must be appropriately warned using a final warning template, such as {{test3}}, {{test4}} or {{blatantvandal}} before being listed on this page. Users without appropriate final warnings will not be blocked.

You had warned the user once, and about removing Speedy Deletion notices, not about creating CSD-A7 articles. The first time they were warned for recreation was after I cleared AIV.

This is a new user. A certain latitude must be allowed to them. There are many reasons for recreating a speedied article, and ignorance is one of them. We were all new once, and if we were all banned for being ignorant of Wikipedia's systems this place would echo from the silence.

I hope this helps you understand the rules of AIV and Wikipedia's blocking policy better. Thanks. ➨ ЯΞDVΞRS 22:02, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What the heck did i do?[edit]

I didn't "Vandilize" anything besides the school thing. and that was just for kicks. if you're refering to the Nintendo wii article, that was a legitimate fact.

Can you please delete the page "Star Adder (MA-2)", I don't know how. (Hpetwe 02:37, 11 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

If you think it's a good idea, I could include everything on the existing Mechassault 2 article. Like add it in. (Hpetwe 02:47, 11 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

I already added the list of Mechs and vehicles, but it looks a little sloppy. Can you explain to me how to do bullets and numbering in Wikipedia? Danke.(Hpetwe 02:56, 11 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Try the page and tell me if that is the kind of things that is good and helpful. Me and my friend are going to add stats and everything later on. Here is the link: MA-2. (Hpetwe 23:23, 11 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Kevin Whitney[edit]

1. He appeared in a Little Tikes ad in 1989 2. He's pretty well known in the city of North Olmsted 3. He's gonna be a disk jockey, which means he'll have even more noteriety —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

And you would be wrong. He's at school studying to be a disk jockey. He's famous in North Olmsted and at the University of Akron. And it said in the guidelines that people who have made commercial appearances are considered noteable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

So, you're telling me that I can't even edit my own talk page and put what I want on there?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

That the biggest bunch of BS I've ever heard. It clearly says "my talk". MY talk. This place is seriously whacked. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

That may be the lamest thing I've ever heard. This place is so whacked, it ain't even funny. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

Whatever, dude. This place is indeed extremely whacked. I have no choice but to "shoot" on Wikipedia, the editors (like yourself), and its policies later on on my user page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

We shall see, DGX. We shall see... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

You guys are seriously terrible to try and squash my first ammendment rights.

I said what needed to be said. I said the truth. You editors like to act all big and bad like you're actually important or something.

Fact is, you guys are a joke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

My comments toward you and the other editors still stand. End of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

I didn't know calling somebody a tool would cause there ittiy bitty feelings to get hurt. Oh the horror... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

Bull. According to the Administrators noticeboard, you went and cried about it. Boo hoo hoo.

You know what this is? Bottom line, it's censorship. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

I did nothing wrong. I simply pointed out that you went and complained about it.

And yes, it's censorship. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uofakevo (talkcontribs)

No. Absoulutely not.

I'm not gonna move along. I'm gonna keep saying that it's censorship and I know that I'm right in doing so. I will stand up for myself. I don't back down and I never quit. I will debate this for as long as I have to.

You said it didn't hurt your feelings, yet you were the one who went to the Administrators noticeboard to complain about it. Interesting, no?

It's not a vanity page because Kevin Whitney is notable whether you or any of the other editiors would like to believe it or not.

And calling someone a tool is hardly a personal attack. This place is the only place in the world that I know of where you could be punished for referring to people as "tools".

Like I said. I will not back down and will continue to stand my ground.

Censorship, like that found on Wikipedia, is downright terrible.

Your arguement is getting you nowhere.

My points are valid. Yours are not. I have plenty of reasons behind each one of them. Of course, you wouldn't post those on the Administrators board. You would only post your side and not give them the whole story.

Life[edit]

Exactly. {Hpetwe 23:25, 19 May 2006 (UTC)}[reply]

Yup. Just like water. you never have enough and it sometimes spills, leaving a sinking feeling (and a mess). (Hpetwe 23:28, 19 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Do you like pirate stories? (Hpetwe 23:30, 19 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

I'm writing a pirate story, but it's not yet complete. And it's "Arrrrrrrrrr", not "Aaarrgh." That would be screaming in pain. (Hpetwe 23:38, 19 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Well, not all pira- never mind. Do you want to know about the story? (Hpetwe 23:42, 19 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

It's about this English boy named Jack Rackhem who is an orphan. He gets hired on a British ship that's part of a fleet en route to the Caribbean to combat piracy. He makes some friends among some lacals and some crew before his fleet gets ripped apart by pirates. They drift to Nassau, where they link up with the British Admiral and go hunt for the pirates. Unfortunately, their new ships get destroyed too, and that's as much as I've written. (Hpetwe 23:50, 19 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

I haven't exactly developed the orphan part. He gets hired at a young age. However, I'm gonna later have him join a pirate crew and scuttle all ships to end Imperialism and slavery. Remember that pirate ships/bands are commonwealth, so every ony has a say and splits the booty. (Hpetwe 23:58, 19 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Sorry to cut this short, but something just came up and I have to do it. We'll talk later. (Hpetwe 00:08, 20 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Smile[edit]

Well I think it's far enough away to not be a problem, I'll just keep an eye on it. --pgk(talk) 19:18, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re your question[edit]

Is there a particular image that you are concerned with, I can check. Probably not if it were vandalism or total nonsense on the image talk page then I would just revert it. I only delete tagged images with no license times at least seven days and no file links to them since they are unrecoverable..--Dakota ~ 22:48, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In answer to you question: No that talk page is not offensive nor is it a candidate for deletion. Thanks.--Dakota ~ 23:15, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Thank you, DGX, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Private info on image page[edit]

This is probably not a problem. The e-mail explains how use of them image was obtained, and MPD01605 can release her private info if she wishes. Steve Titunik, who the e-mail was from, is probably an employee of the state of Virgina acting in his official capacity, so the release of his name is fine. The phone number shows up 45 times on a Google search, and is probably owned by Virgina. Of course if either one of them wants their private info gone, it can and will be removed. Image talk page tagging deletion[edit]

Hello DGX, I noticed that you have been going around tagging image talk pages with {{Missing image}}. The image actually isn’t empty; it is just that it has been deleted by an administrator. The correct tag to use would be {{Db-talk}}. Thanks, AndyZ t 18:27, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From WP:CSD, unless they contain deletion discussion that isn't logged elsewhere. Though they are orphaned talk pages, they do contain copyvio information. Anyhow, they have been deleted by another administrator; I was just being cautious. Thanks AndyZ t

Hi, what's the problem with this page? It's a talk page containing a comment which pertains to the picture it's attached to. It might be one unsigned comment, but that's not a reason to delete. If a follow up comment which said "I agree, a very bad joke indeed" appeared, would you still want it to be deleted? Talk pages are subject to far less strict content policies than articles or images, and hey, a conversation starts when one person says something. Hope you agree, nice one, Deizio talk 01:28, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hear you, but it's about process. Talk pages don't get deleted because they only contain one comment, so we have to wait until the image itself gets deleted. Speedy delete is deliberately designed to be entirely non-subjective, for good reasons, and I still don't think this fits the criteria. Of course, you can re-tag, I'm sure someone will flush it ;) Nice one, Deizio talk 02:15, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You really have it in for talk pages. Just because there isn't a ripping debate going on doesn't mean we should delete a talk page. Especially ones attached to serious photos (Alfred Nobel for example). There is a TON of speediable crap out there, and having to deal with requests like this while the backlog of "Jimmy Smith is my mate and he loves CHEEEEEESE" continues to build isn't helpful. db-empty is NOT designed for talk pages. The Hitler photo talk page, fine, but not Nobel. I hope you see where I'm coming from? Deizio talk 15:30, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jesus on Wheels[edit]

I see you put up a request for checkuser. Just to note Wikipedia:Username lists out what are considered inappropriate usernames, the user isn't blocked because "he might be" willy on wheels but because he meets the inflamatory usernames criteria, as would "mohammed on wheels" etc. Note it doesn't matter if he is intending it to be inflamatory just that it could reasonably be seen to be. (Additionally Usernames that closely resemble any used by notorious vandals, could arguably be applied) That said I would have been interested if checkuser had applied, since if seems most unusual that someone who hasn't edited in over 6 months gets nominated and shows up to accept the nomination. --pgk(talk) 07:05, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify the reason for blocking was the religious aspect, combining the name Jesus with on wheels (given the connotation on wheels around here) is inflamatory on a religious basis, hence the mention of "Mohammed on Wheels". Mohammed in itself wouldn't be a problem (as many adopt it as there name...) but add the on wheels and I believe it becomes inflamatory in a religious sense. --pgk(talk) 16:37, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Esperanza![edit]

Welcome, DGX, to Esperanza, the Wikipedia member association! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member, you might be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is the StressUnit, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Possibles.

I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general, Celestianpower, and guided by the Advisory Committee, Titoxd, JoanneB, and Freakofnurture.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Celestianpower by email or talk page, or the Esperanza talk page. Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users on our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, please see the IRC Tutorial, which was written by one of our members. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to be!

Thanks! G.He 00:37, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CorbinSimpson's Request for Adminship[edit]

Thanks for voting in my request for administrator rights, even though it failed (13/30/4). Sadly, work has forced me to respond to you all using a substituted message rather than a personalized response. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that administrators, to me, should be chosen and approved by the community, and I will continue working to become a better editor and Wikipedian. No matter what the alignment of your vote was, I will take your comments seriously and use them to improve myself. If you wish to discuss your comments personally with me, I would be more than glad to talk about things since the RfA is now over; just leave your concern on my talk page and we will sort things out. Thanks again for voting, and happy editing! - Corbin Be excellent

vandalism[edit]

Thank you very much for spotting my vandalism so quickly. In fact, I created the fictional lucychanmss character in order to demonstrate how easy it is to set up an account to my students and to show them how they can edit my pages - but the fact you caught me so quickly has also enabled me to show them how quickly vandalism gets spotted!

A similar sentiment here, but thanks for catching the vandalism to me. Sad they decided to attack you after, but I'm not too surprised; I caught them vandalising before hand. Maybe I should keep a vandalised log, too. Would keep life interesting. : ) BW52 04:37, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was not tagging them as sockpuppets, I was tagging them as *suspected* sockpuppets. This gives them a chance to respond and defend themselves. Note the difference between the templates {{sockpuppet}} and {{socksuspect}}. --woggly 19:03, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And please put the tags back in place. First one user says I can't list them as suspects until they've been tagged, now you come and say I can't tag them until they've been blocked - this is becoming a farce. --woggly 19:05, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for reverting, sorry if I was snippy. I'm going to a great deal of effort to operate by the book, with users who are going against Wikipedia policy but quoting it to defend themselves. I think if you delve a little deeper you'll understand why this is upsetting to me. But I did not mean to jump all over you, sorry. --woggly 19:19, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
