Pentagrid converter circuit[edit]

You recently added a much needed circuit diagram to the Pentagrid converter article [1]. The only minor critisism is that the tube shown in the circuit has six grids and not five. Although it does operate on the pentagrid principle, it is not a pentagrid tube. I have modified the caption to explain the anomaly. However, it would be better if the suppressor grid (grid 6) was deleted from the diagram which would then make it a true pentagrid design. Is this possible? I B Wright (talk) 17:44, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's on my to-do list; the diagram is in Polish anyway, and I didn't draw it. Note that the octode variant has its own paragraph in the article. Anyway it operates on the pentagrid principle (electron coupling between oscillator and mixer). I'll have to draw two new circuits because the oscillator feedback may be drawn either from grid2 or from the cathode. Patience!-- Mkratz (talk) 19:45, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I was aware that the octode was in the article. However, with the diagram at the top and away from the octode section, your average reader might just count the grids and say, "Hang on, it has got six grids. Where does 'pentagrid' come in to this?". Regards, I B Wright (talk) 13:56, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a correlation between authoritarian personality and interest in BDSM?[edit]

I've responded on the Talk:BDSM page to your comment regarding the possibiliy of a correlation between authoritarian personality and interest in BDSM. I've come up with one paper that suggests there is a negative correlation between the two. -- The Anome (talk) 15:48, 11 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
