M5 Honeys at Villers-Bocage

Hey Mike,

Am at work so i cant look at the after battle photos but i was under the impression that the three Honeys of the recon troop were knocked out, you have changed this to two. Sure this is correct?--EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 09:17, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

After the Battle Magazine

Hi Mike,

The Battle of Villers-Bocage article is currently being put forward to see if it can be promoted to Feature Article Class, see here: Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Battle of Villers-Bocage/archive1

It has been raised that we have cited from After the Battle magazine issue 132, p. 34 but have not presented this the correct way in our source list. I believe you were the one who added this piece of information to the article, if you read this any time soon and still have this article could you provide the following information please?

1. The section name within issue 132 where Daniel Taylor corrected himself in regards to three stuarts being knocked out.
2. The page numbers for the entire section i.e. pp. 1-10

Tiger I

Ref your edit with "The book cited does not mention a Tiger I and more relevant there were no Tiger I's anywhere near this area." Schneider's Tigers in Combat I puts Schwere Panzer Abteilung 506 by Bastogne on the date mentioned in the source. However, it had both Tiger I and Tiger II tanks in combat at the time, so it is unclear which the 88 mm guns mentioned in the article were mounted on. (Hohum ^@) 02:10, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Whilst sPzAbt 506 was 10km East of Bastogne they were engaged by 6th Armored Division. The book is about a member of 11th Armored Division and his actions near Foy on January 14th 1945. There were no Tigers near Foy.
