Speedy deletion nomination of Varien

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Varien, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 04:36, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Saving Light Gareth Emery Standerwick Cover.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

A tag has been placed on Mr FijiWiji requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Deletion discussion about Muzzy (musician)

Hello, MicroPowerpoint,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Muzzy (musician) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Muzzy (musician) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Orphaned non-free image File:Muzzy musician logo.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Muzzy musician logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:55, 26 October 2017 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Mr FijiWiji logo.jpeg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mr FijiWiji logo.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 22:01, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Using quotation marks

I'd like to suggest having a look at MOS:QUOTEMARKS, especially the first bullet point, which says Use "straight" quotes, not “curly”. (For single quotes or apostrophes: 'straight', not ‘curly’.) The reasoning is in the footnote provided next to this bullet point, but I will also point out that when I go through pages you edit using AWB, I notice it wants to change the quotation marks you added in references to the straight marks, as outlined in the MOS. Please keep that in mind, and good luck with future edits and articles! jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 00:55, 12 November 2017 (UTC)

When writing the captions for the album covers, it's usually self-evident from the image that it's the covert art for X album. Simply writing the caption as "cover art" is good enough. Some advice on article creation

I've made a bunch of artist and song redirects as placeholders for when an article is ready to be made for each. They're all listed on my User page, so once you're ready to make an article about at least one of them, you're more than welcome to replace that redirect. Just let me know when that article is made (either that or I'm watching the Monstercat article, so I'll know by then.) jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 13:46, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
