Notability of Ross Rutherford

A tag has been placed on Ross Rutherford requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

I don't doubt your good intentions at all in creating this article, but unless it is written otherwise, it is in conflict with several Wikipedia policies, including WP:NOTE "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article." and WP:VERIFY "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—that is, whether readers are able to check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether we think it is true." Even if a person is well known in a given area, if there aren't significant reliable sources that can be checked by others (like online, through a library, etc) it isn't notable according to Wikipedia's standards.
