As to helping you improve that article and turning it into something that might potentially belong in an encyclopedia, I'd recommend that you take a look at the essay Wikipedia: Your first article as well as the more specific guidelines on notability for businesses. Basically, we need reliable sources that give a reasonably deep explanation why the business has such long term historical notability of the kind that would make it an encyclopedia subject. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 20:52, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Mengyuan - original

Mengyuan is the business name of K L Ellis & K H Khoo in Australia. Originally when setting up their first business, a bed & breakfast, they wanted to call it 'Field of Dreams' because of the beautiful property they purchased and on which they built the 'Mengyuan Bed & Breakfast' house. Unfortunately, they discovered that the business name of 'Field of Dreams' had already been taken in Australia by a chain of pizza stores, despite there being no such stores in Australia. Kay-Hock, being of Chinese Malaysian decent, translated 'Field of Dreams' into Mandarin, hence 'Meng Yuan' became 'Mengyuan' (field of dreams or beautiful garden). They named their first business 'Mengyuan Bed & Breakfast', and subsequently their other businesses 'Mengyuan Organic Olive Products', 'Mengyuan Massage Clinic', 'Mengyuan Computing', Mengyuan Milling, etc. When they did all this back in 1996, a Google search of the web for 'Mengyuan' barely returned a hit. Today, a web search will return hundreds. Presumably others have found the name as enchanting as they did back in 1996 and still do today. Mengyuan (talk) 18:03, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
