Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:14, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Aha! just found the button... many thanks!! --Media Maven (talk) 21:17, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: My talk page[edit]

Sure - I'd be happy to give you with a pointer or two.

  • Firstly, you should look at the notability guidelines, to ensure that MCT is notable enough by Wikipedia's standards to warrant a full-fledged article.
  • If MCT meets the notability guidelines, it would be wise to move your article into your userspace (a process known as userification), convert it into a draft submission (I can do that for you, if you wish), and then add a list of reliable sources to the bottom of the page. Then, you can list your article at requested articles, and someone will build your article into one that will be ready to "go live", per se. This also eliminates any potential conflicts of interest that you may have.

If you'd like me to give you a more thorough review of your article, or if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to write! I check my talk page frequently, so your message should garner a quick response. Cheers! WikiPuppies bark dig 21:41, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the comments about the lost attribution. I'm quite good at fixing histories so I have done that for you (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/MCT&action=history). The problem you had is that not all the edits to that page were by yourself (there were some by an IP - probably yourself...). You will now find that the page User:Media Maven/draft article on MCT is now gone (because I moved it to the AfC page on top of the version you had there). For future reference if you create another article - name the sub page like - User:Media Maven/MCT, and place {{userspace draft}} at the top of the page, when saved that will give you a banner with a Submit Page link - that will flag the page to get a bot to move it to the correct place in AfC for you - with all the edits saved.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 01:00, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article Moved[edit]

I've moved it to User:Media Maven/McClatchy-Tribune Information Services, I've moved the talk bits to the talk page, and added a "helpme" banner - now you can get feedback without messing up the page. I've standardised the first paragraph (We start with the page title in bold)  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:34, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Added Infobox template for you - see Template:Infobox company to see what all the parameters mean - you don't have to fill them all in!  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:40, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to Ronhjones[edit]

Hi Ronhjones!

Thanks very much! And thanks for the infobox, too. I've been wondering how to do that. :)

So now if I want to get feedback from other editors, I just direct them to that page?

I've been using online helpdesk chat, and have received many suggestions. I've incorporated all of the suggestions, but the article is still being declined!

Very frustrating!

In any case, you're very kind to help me with this process, and I appreciate it very much.

Best, --Media Maven (talk) 22:45, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
