You should discuss changes before you make them. You took out the bulk of the article. The parts you took out were the needed parts. Cincinnati is not Boston (citing something you said above) so they shouldn't have identical pages.--Cincydude55 18:57, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I just noticed the discussion you had with some other editors over your changes to the Cincinnati, Ohio article. One thing you could try is to create a draft version of your changes at User:Meckstroth.jm/Cincinnati, Ohio. That's in your user space, and you're free to tinker with that page. This way you can solicit opinions before making merging it with the main copy. Fountain Square, Cincinnati

You reverted my edit to this article. My edit removed a link to a deleted image. Your reversion restored the empty image reference to the article. Stop reverting Marty Brennaman page with no explanation

Why do you keep reverting my edits? My edits aren't vandalism and things like resizing the image and adding stuff on his family is not bad! Three major things. First, please sign your comments. It is annoying for people to have to search the history tab just to find out who it was. Second, protection on pages only works if you get an administrator to do it. So in other words all you are doing is putting a sign up. Don't believe me? Than how are both of us able to edit the Marty Brennaman page? Finally, what is the deal with you and this page. All I did was resize the image and added info on his family. How is that wrong? Please answer these questions and stop putting "Stop!" all over my talk page. That is harassment and qualifies for a block under Wikipedia's guidelines. Why do you so actively insist on the specific wording in this artcle that you have restored several times (without explanation or discussion) to "Many historic events and firsts are associated with the city, including the Cincinnati Reds ..."? What is listed is 1 ) not "many " items and many of them are not "first" but notable ecents of some sort. The goal here is to improve the article. Cincinnati, Ohio

The current Reds team dates from 1882. Read your history, and don't make baseless accusations of vandalism. The famous Red Stockings disbanded after 1870. Their best players started up a new team, the Boston Red Stockings. A new Reds team started in the National League in 1876 and was dropped after 1880. Yet another new team started in the American Association (19th century) in 1882, transferring to the NL in 1890, and that's where the current Reds team dates from. You can't say "is home" to the first professional team, because the 1869 team doesn't exist anymore. Also, there was no such thing as Major League Baseball, as such, in 1869. In your note to me you said "was" home to the first pro team, which is accurate. But you're still saying "is" in the article, which is not accurate, because that team doesn't exist anymore. It's like saying Chicago is home to the 1893 Columbian Exposition. It was, but it isn't any longer. Chicago still exists, but the Exposition doesn't. Cincinnati still exists, but the 1869 team disbanded. Also, the current Reds were not the first MLB team. MLB considers its records to begin with the National League in 1876. Of the 8 teams in that league, only 2 still exist, the Cubs and the Braves. There was a Cincinnati Reds team in that league, but they don't exist anymore, either. The current Reds date from 1882. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please remove the tag.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve.
