Solid state (electronics)[edit]

Hi, you may not know this, but you should fill out an edit summary when you make a contribution so other editors know why you have done it. Also, if your edit is reverted, it is the normal thing here to go and discuss it on the article talk page, not re-apply the edit.

You seem to believe that electro-mechanical devices are not excluded from the term "solid-state". The references in the article do not agree. You need to explain these edits and provide references to support what you are saying.

Thanks, SpinningSpark 17:24, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have just re-applied a version of that edit with the summary "see talk page". You have not left a comment on the talk page and the discussion there does not agree with you. More importantly, the references in the article do not agree with you. Take a look at this book and particularly this book which categorically states solid state means no moving parts. This is not acceptable behaviour: you must discuss edits that are challenged and you absolutely must provide references that are more authoritative than those already in the article if you wish to write something that contradicts them.
