Live Scores.[edit]

Hello, Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that you have recently edited on this page. Please note, Wikipedia is not a live scoring website. Edits should be done once the game is finished. Thank You Skyblueshaun 16:09, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen live scoring done all throughout the 2014 WCQ, and there is a template specifically for "matches in progress". Unless this has recently changed, I will continue to update scores live.

I agree with Skyblueshaun, Wikipedia is not a live scoring website, if someone need such info go to livescore not on wikipedia. Sorry but we will continue to revers your edit... Stigni (talk) 15:50, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please point me in the direction of the talk page that shown consensus to stop doing live scoring. I've seen live scoring and edited/done live scoring since the 2010 WCQ, and am not going to stop because of two users who think this is their own private article and get to dictate to others how they want it edited.

I linked it on the CAF's talk page. Stigni (talk) 16:07, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate[edit]

Hi, About [1], it seems this candidate's name and bio have been removed from his party's website. Wouldn't that hint that he is not a candidate anymore? Are you sure he is still a candidate? -- Asclepias (talk) 22:01, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well you are correct in that the candidate list does not list him anymore, but I'm not sure why that is. The twitter reference is the indication that the Party has nominated him for that riding. So I assume he is still a candidate, but is not on the list for some reason. I am going through a couple more Libertarian candidates who are no longer on their candidate list and removing the candidate list reference, while trying to find other references that would indicate to me that they are still a candidate. If I can't find any indication that a person is still a candidate, or if I can find evidence that specifically says they are not a candidate, I will remove the listing.

Thanks for your input. -- Matty1487 (talk) 22:11, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks for your good work with the updates to the Wikipedia article. It makes sense to find other sources when the names of recently nominated candidates have not yet been listed on a party's website. On the other hand, as far as I can tell, when names that actually were on a party's website are removed later, that almost always mean that those persons are not candidates anymore, for various reasons. It can happen with all parties. It's not surprising if some names are removed before the election. IMHO, when that happens, it's probably safer to assume that the candidates have stepped down and to remove the names from our Wikipedia article, unless we find evidence to the contrary. In the case of this particular candidate, I had checked on June 29 that his name and biography page were actually on his party's website at that date. That means that the name has been removed since then. The Twitter message is from June 10, so is older and thus does not give us new information. That said, I'm leaving that case to your judgment. :) -- Asclepias (talk) 23:03, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
